I ran as fast as I could back to my dormitory. Ripping off my robes and folding it away. I grabbed a sweater and stretched the sleeve to cover my hand.
"There you are, we're studying in the common room," Hermione took my other hand bringing me down the stairs to the sofa where Harry and Ron were sitting. I subconsciously rubbed my hand over the sleeve, wincing as the fabric graced the cuts, they were likely to scar over given they were so deep. Harry saw my face and covered my hand with his own. It was Hermione who noticed how we were acting, "What happened? What's wrong with your hands?" She realized.
"Nothing!" Harry quickly covered showing her his other hand.
She narrowed her eyes at him grabbing the hand that was covering mine, "The other one," she gasped at the cut on his hand. 'I must not tell lies' was written in his handwriting. Though his weren't bleeding as much as mine were, "Mira!" She gasped as a small trickle came down from mine, "You've got to report this!"
"That won't do anything but give the wench the satisfaction of knowing she got to us," I snapped as I covered the cuts on my hand.
"If Remus found out-"
I looked up angrily, "Thats the problem. I did some research, Umbridge hates half-breeds. She drafted anti-werewolf legislation about two years ago, which has made it nearly impossible for Remus to get a new job."
"You really ought to tell Dumbledore," Hermione told us.
Harry shook his head, "Dumbledore's got enough on his plate without adding more."
I sighed, Ron pressed on my hand a bit rougher than he should've and I hissed in pain, having had enough with the poking and prodding I got to my feet, "I'm gonna go ask Madam Pomfrey for a bandage," I said, "I'll grab you one Harry."
As I passed the Great Hall I realized I'd missed dinner due to detention. Peeking in, I noticed it was fairly empty so I walked over to the Gryffindor table and sat down. A small meal appeared on the few plates around me, I helped myself to a sandwich and some chips.
"So, how'd it go?" Draco asked sitting across the table from me. I didn't answer, instead grabbing another chip to munch on, "That bad. Well to be fair, I did warn you-"
"Well I'm a natural troublemaker it seems," I glanced down at my hand that had finally stopped bleeding.
He noticed and looked over at my hand. When he looked back up at me he looked...sorry, "She made you do that, didn't she?" He grabbed my hand softly looking at the cuts.
"It doesn't hurt as much now," I admitted, "But if this is how she punishes students, it's going to be a long year."
Draco continued to study my hand, before slowly bringing it up and planting a small kiss on the cuts, his lips on my hand felt hot, and it made the marks sting a bit, he saw the look on my face and stopped, "I'm sorry," he apologized immediately, "You keep eating, I'll get you a bandage from
Madam Pomfrey," he got up and swift left. I was finishing up with my food when he returned, this time sitting on my left. I went to take the bandage but he retracted his hand, "Let me," he asked softly.
He asked for my hand, I carefully put it in his palm and he cautiously started to wrap it in the bandage, "Thank you," I whispered.
"Anytime."

I spent the next few weeks being abnormally quiet, just because I didn't want to have to go back to Umbridge's office and write more of her lines. Even Harry had been distant, but I could't blame him. He'd been having nightmares again and Umbridge was only adding to his stress.
