For the second year in a row, the end of term was solemn. The halls were quiet as the students who previously believed in the lies they were fed were hit with the truth we'd been telling them since the end of last year.
When we'd got back the adults tried to get us to the hospital wing, but by then there was no point. We really only had some scratches, we were lucky to make it out of there.
Everyone was going to the feast while I walked the corridor in the opposite direction, Filch was rehanging all the portraits he'd taken down, and the look on his face was enough to put a small smile on my face. A few of the DA saw me pass and they gave me kind pats, which was nice of them.
The Astronomy Tower was quiet, I could hear the light whistling from the wind, and see some of the owls flying back to prepare for their journeys home.
"How'd I know I'd find you here?" His voice rang out over the wind.
I turned seeing Draco leaned up against the doorway, "I guess we've grown used to each other this year."
"Please," he gave me a small smile, "I think I've been used to you for a bit longer."
I tilted my head confused, "You're not mad? You're dad's locked up..." I trailed off.
He actually shrugged, "He's going to get out. The connections he's got, he won't be there for long," he paused, "Are you mad at me? I mean...it was my dad and my aunt who..."
"I'm gonna be fine. Honestly, I was a bit more worried I'd lose you," I admitted.
He scoffed, "You couldn't lose me if you tried," he grabbed my hand in his, trailing his thumb along the scars.
"I guess you're stuck with me then," I whispered looking up into his eyes.
His nose brushed mine softly, "We're stuck with each other." He pressed his lips to mine.
I may not know how this war will turn out, but I did know how I felt when I was with him, and that, I liked.
Outside we could hear chatter, the feast had ended and people were getting in the carriages for the train, "We'd better go." I looked over the edge to see the crowd of people.
Turning to leave he grabbed my hand, "Wait. Promise me you'll stay safe. Don't do anything stupid until I can be there to protect you alright?" He ran his hand across my cheek.
"Draco, I already fought your father, your aunt, and a couple of Death Eaters. I can handle myself just fine," I kissed his cheek before leaving to catch up with the others.

I pulled my cardigan tighter around my chest as I caught up with the others, "Couldn't wait for me I see," I joked.
"You know, I've been thinking about something Dumbledore said to me," Harry said changing the subject.
"What's that?" Hermione asked as Luna, Neville and Ginny walked behind us comfortably.
Harry looked at us thoughtfully, "Even though we've got a fight ahead of us...we've got one thing that Voldemort doesn't have."
"Noses?" I wondered aloud. Ron laughed putting his arm around my shoulder.
Harry chuckled as we all walked up the steps to the platform where the train was waiting for us. The loud whistle indicated we'd be leaving once more, this time everything was different, over the course of a year I'd done so much. And in the upcoming November I'd turn seventeen, two months after Hermione, making us older than most of our classmates. Apparation tests and preparing for NEWTs were just a few of the things we had to look forward too. But we were also at war, and I had feelings for someone who's entire family was on the other side.
