The ball felt like a dream, and a rather good one. But the second task was right around the corner and it turns out Harry still hadn't figured out what the clue was.

"You told us you'd figured the egg out weeks ago!" Hermione scolded.

"You do realize the task is two days away right?" I asked as we walked along the bridge for some air.

Harry rolled his eyes sassily at me, "Really Mira? I had no idea. I suppose Viktor's already figured it out?" He asked, looking at Hermione on his left.

"Wouldn't know. We don't actually talk about the tournament. Actually we don't really talk at all. Viktor's more of a physical being," my eyes widened, Harry was holding in laughter, and Hermione realized what she'd said, "I mean he's not particularly loquacious!"

"Uh-huh," I smirked, "Whatever helped you sleep at night," I reached over and patted her back.

"He mostly watches me study, it's a bit annoying actually," she admitted before turning more serious, "You are trying to figure the egg out aren't you?"

Harry's smiled disappeared, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing. The tasks are designed to test you, to push you," I answered.

Hermione nodded, "In a brutal way that it's almost cruel...We don't want you to get hurt."

"You're going to need a thought out plan for this task, I can feel it."

"Hey Potter!" The three of us turned and saw Cedric jogging over. Harry was clearly still upset about Cedric taking Cho to the ball and started walking in the opposite direction. Hermione and I sighed walking back toward the castle, Cedric called out to Harry again as he passed us. We saw Harry stopped so the two of them could talk.

"Maybe Cedric's giving Harry a hint as to how to get the egg to work?" I guessed, "I mean, we did give him the heads up about the dragons so it's only fair." She shrugged and the two of us made our way to the library to do some homework, a couple of hours later my brother begrudgingly met up with us, "Finally finished with your temper tantrum have you?" I joked flipping through my transfiguration homework.

"Shut it Mira," he huffed.

Just then Harry sped in, hair wet as if he'd just gotten out of the shower, "I think I know what the second task is!"

We spent the following day in the library combing over every book that could potentially help, "Tell me what it said again Harry?" I asked grabbing another book.

We'd been in the library for hours, the only light coming from the lamps we'd lit and we were all exhausted but we had little-to-no time to prepare him for this task and it looked like he'd be going into the black lake, "Come seek us where our voices sound."

"The black lake, that much is obvious," Hermione stated nudging Ron awake as he'd been snoring.

"An hour long you'll have to look," he continued.

I nodded, "Well that's self-explanatory. But being underwater for an hour may have some slight difficulty."

"Slight difficulty?" Harry looked at me annoyed, "When's the last time you held your breath underwater for an hour Mira?"

Hermione knelt down grabbing his arm, "Harry, we can do this. The four of us can figure this out!"

"Hate to break up the skull session," Professor Moody spoke up, I hadn't even heard him come in, and with his leg, you'd think we would've, "Professor McGonagall wants you in her office," Harry got to his feet only for Moody to stop him, "Not you Potter, just Mr.Weasley and Granger."
