Declaring war

We took our seats on the couch, Eesha next to me, Bokuto next to her, Tendou on my other side, and Kuroo and Kenma sat on a different couch right next to ours. Shade took a seat in a big chair right across from our group, and Rintaro's.

"I want to start off and say, well done for your work over the year, I'm impressed!" He exclaims "You guys are still young, but I'm getting old, I think it's about time I retire"

Everyones eyes on Shade, Shade takes a sip from whatever is in his white mug, with his company label on it reading "Skylark sun". I'm not sure what this company does but we're soon to find out. I lean forward all my attention on him, but my eyes seem to go on Rintaro, stop it Y/n, what am I thinking.

"As I was saying, I'd like to send you all on a mission together, Rintaro's group and Y/N"s group!" He clasps his hands together once again "Just cause Rin is my som doesn't mean he will get an easy pass to taking over the mafia, I like to say that this mission is a perfect opportunity for me to see who is best at an overall performance!"

Rintaro glares at me, his gaze so strong I could probably combust right then and there but, being me I look back longer this time, trying my best to blink less, this time he looks away first, take that Rin!

Hearing Shade say those words were like music to my ears, imagine all the power and money I would have, I can see dollar bills in my own eyes. I have to do good on this mission and many others, once Shade retires maybe I'll be the head mafia, me and my friends. I want to do my best and show Shade that we are worth this promotion. The shadows will do their best!

"Just cause you do good on this mission doesn't mean you will get immediate power though, there will be more in the future but this is your chance to prove yourself!" He says looking around the room.

I can't even tell if this man is a mafia boss, the way he talks, he's so friendly but in reality hes killed people, hes probably dones terrible things. I brush the thoigh away, taking in everything he is saying. Eesha leans close to me.

"Its time to show off how bad ass we are" her words barely a whisper, I nod with a smirk on my face.

"Lets talk about our mission, you guys will be going to New York city, next week. Why? Because we have drug imports going missing, and I need you guys to find out why" he continues "I also want you guys to find our any information you can about a group called the "platinum black" I know it's an odd name, but they are my rivals, they are dangerous, so I want you guys to ahow off you best combat skills!"

"Um excuse me, can I ask a question?" The blue-grey eyed man asks raising his hands.

"Yes Akaashi?" Shade nods.

"Sir, our group doesn't have much of a fund right now, how will we all get there?" Akaashi asks, his voice slow and smooth.

"I'll arrange that, we have a private jet, we have a Embraer Phenom 300, that should be good enough," he continues "For this mission I will provide funds, but also bring some funds for yourselves, if you don't mind"

Akaashi nods looking over to the guys in turquoise, the one wuth fluffy brown hair smirking at him. Their interaction interrupted by Shade.

"So I want you guys to take this week to train and prepare, also get to know eachother!" He says sipping from his mug once again "Now Rin introduce you members to The Shadows,".

"Will do," He strides forward infront of the room, my attention to him "this is Keiji akaashi, call him whatever" Rin says pointing at the dude.

"This is Toru Oikawa and that is Iwaizumi Hajime," he says point at the brown haired boy first then the one with spiky black hair.

"And this is Ushijima Wakatoshi, don't mess with him," He says sarcatsically, me and Tendou snicker, he smirks at me.

"And I am Rintaro Suna, just call me Rin," He says unenthusiastically.

"Anything else you want to say Rin?" Shade says leaning back in his seat, relaxing himself.

"I just want to tell y/n one thing, don't think you can beat me, cause I'm the better leader, remember that." He says with no emotion whatsoever. My mouth wide open again, Eesha tugs my arm a little, Oikawa snickers but Iwa smacks him.

"Oh yeah? We'll see about that, who knows maybe you'll be calling me boss one day, not maybe, you Will, Rintaro," I clap back, with the same amount of energy.

He rolls his eyes at me and looks down at his black rolex, he was wearing all black, his vibe wasn't necessarily gloomy, he just seemed like he was deep in something.

"Now,now, you guys will be working together let's try ro get along, younglings!" Shade laughs at the heat of the situation.

"As if..." Bokuto states looking at Rin.

"You guys are funny, I have to get to a meeting now, so take some time to introduce yourselves and exchange contact information, then you may leave, I will email you the night before your flight to NYC, see you!" He says taking his grey coat from the back of his chair and walking out, with a little wave.

"Nice to meet you I'm Tendou!" Tendou puts his hand out for Ushijima to shake, Ushijima looks up and does so. I see Bokuto talking to Akaashi, Kuroo and Kenma talking to Iwa and Oikawa. Eesha stood next to me, observing everyone from afar. Rintaro come up to me with his hand out for me to shake. I take it with ease, But his grip tightens and he leans down to reach my height, his face too close for my comfort. His breath grazing my left cheek.

"May the best leader get promoted," he whispers into my ear, looking at my eyes for reaction, but I give none.

"Its on Suna," I say reaching to his ears and whispering, doing the same he did.

Did he just declare war, oh he will regret this, Ill be the boss!
