Stuck with me

After we retrieved our load we met up with Iwa and Oikawa. We had to cremate Atsumu before leaving Brazil. I felt like I lost a part of me. I know I said I hated him, I know we had troubles. But he was my bestfriend, he was crazy, we were both crazy, he understood why I am the way I am, he never judged me. Atsumu was always there, he was always brightening my mood with his stupid humour. He was my comfort person. Losing him unexpectedly that night broke me. I ignored his bad feelings and focused on the mission. I promised him that we would eat onigiri with his twin brother Osamu. I can't even imagine how Osamu will react when he hears the news, I'm terrified.

"I'm sorry Osamu," I whisper, a tear rolls down my cheek. His expression drops.

"N-no You're joking, thats an empty vase. M-my brother isn't in there!" He shouts.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry," I sniffle.

"Y/n...this is some stupid joke right?" He asks. I shake my head, I hold in my sobs.

"No....no...no," He falls onto the ground.

He stays quiet on the ground, silently crying. I just sit next to him, I try my best to comfort him. I'm not as close as Osamu as I was with Atsumu but he and I would spend alot of time making fun of Atsumu as a joke. He would also make onigiri for us when we were staying up late scheming.

"He did say he was the better looking twin," I say leaning onto the wall.

"Of course he did," he scoffs.

"We should have a funeral," I sigh. This isn't easy I know.

"Atsumu once told me. If he dies, he want his ashes scattered in the ocean," He huffs.

"Then we should do just that 'Samu," I smile.

"He was a dumbass, but he would die for his friends," Kuroo sighed.

"He may have done stupid things, but he was a great guy," Tendou whine.

We're sitting in a circle near the shore of a rocky beach. The sand between my toes were warm. I lean on Eesha's shoulder. Akaashi and Bokuto pat the silver vase with Atsumu resting in it. Kenma was next to me, he held my hand squeezing it slightly, I think hes trying to comfort me, I smile. Kentaro sighs loudly. Iwa and Oikawa sit across from us. Ushijima and Tendou stand behind us. Rin and I make eye contact, I want to run to him and cry on his chest, I want to tell him the pain in my heart, the wrenching feeling. His gaze softens, and sighs. The morning breeze blowing by, the sound of waves crashing oddly calming.

"Let's scatter his ashes," Osamu states pain clear in his voice.

We all get up in a line. Osamu holds the vase and slowly opens the lid, he lets out a quiet sob looking into the vase. I put a hand on his shoulder, he looks at me with his teary eyes. I bite my quivering lips and give him a weak nod. He tips the vase into the ocean, the gray ashes mixing in with the water, some blowing away with the wind. Osamu tumbles down on the ground and silently watches Atsumu drown away. Atleast he's free. We all lower our heads, for a long moment of silence.

Eesha looks at me with wet eyes and motions me to where Rin is. He's much farther away sitting on top of a black rock near shore. I walk towards him, his brown hair blew in the wind, his gold eyes even more ethereal due to the reflection of the sun. He looks at me and smiles, he pats me to sit next to him. I do. He sighs looking ahead watching the waves crash onto black rocks, leaving bubbly white froth.

"I think I'm your boss now," he jokes. Shade actually promoted me to lead our group, Rin was surprisingly happy about it.

"No, I'm the boss!" I snicker.

"Yeah...you are," he waves me off, I laugh.

"Now call me boss," I tease.

"Boss!" He laughs splashing water on my face. I smack his arm, we fall into laughter. I sigh. Our laugh stops, I look at him.

"Rin...are you okay?" I ask.

"No...are you?" He asks.

"Not at all," I admit.

"Let's be not okay together then," he chuckles slightly.

"Sounds good to me," I smile.

"Y/n, I'm glad my dad chose your group and I'm glad I met you," he mutters.

"I'm glad I met you too. Thank you for always cooling me down," I smile.

"That's my job now, miss. You're stuck with me," he huffs.

"I guess I'll be sticking with you," I smile with my teeth. He looks at me longingly.

I'm in love. Shit. I love him

"Rin?" I whisper.

"Y/n...," he mutters.

"Kiss me?" I plead.

"Gladly," he says.

Our lips collide once again. This feeling I'll never get tired of. I don't care if everyone's watching. I just want him to hold me forever. The sun shines bright on us, it feels like its just the two of us on Earth.

I'll work alongside Rin, happily. We make a great team, we may be opposites, yet we balance eachother perfectly. He's cold on the outside, but I managed to see his stupid side and he's managed to cool me down. I was able to make him do stupid things with me. He did crazy things out of his comfort zone with me. He opened up to me, so did I. We talked for hours and never got bored.

He's the one I want to drag along to festivals and fairs. He's the one I want to go to the ends of the Earth with. Hes mine, I'm his.

And I'm also his boss!
