Narcissa interrupted his train of thoughts and said," you were right darling. I want you meet someone," and gestured towards the beige couch in her study.
"Meet Ms. Granger and Ms. Bones, your matchmakers." She said with a monotone.
Draco turned his head sharply in the direction her mother was looking and found the same but tamed bush of hair on Granger he used to repent in his childhood along with a blonde lady whom he could not recognize.
He quickly changed his expression of surprise into his signature smirk and remarked, "Welcome to my home, Ms. Bones. I hope you had no problem in reaching here." He waited for a response from her but when she didn't give any, he continued to ask her to make herself comfortable.
Hermione caught on to his act quickly being the focussed woman she was and decided to play it his way. She almost expected this to happen and was undeniably happy when it didn't get directly to insults and calling names. She bumped her elbow with Susan's arm that indicated her to continue the discussion.
"Good evening, Mr. Malfoy, as you may have heard before, I am Susan Bones and this is Hermione Granger and we are here to help you find the love of your life." She finished excitedly but it was clearly evident that she was a bit intimidated. "This is Hermione, the matchmaker and I am her analyst or more of an assistant. I hope to get along well from now on."
Draco took a deep breath after the explanation and joined the dots in his mind. He was not surprised to see that it fit perfectly. He gave a low scowl and called out, "Mother", and looked around the study. Again as expected she had left the room and he noticed Theo standing at the door with a smug expression. He decided to take the matter in his hands and stated calmly. (A/N – unlike DUMBLEDORE)
"Good evening ladies. Yes, I have heard before your names but....." he gave a dramatic pause and continued, "I was completely unaware of your coming here and I am even more shocked to find two of my ex-classmates at my home who claim to find me the love of my life. Yes, I know her", he said pointing his palm at Hermione who he thought was silent for an eerily long time and was unlike her. "And I too hope we get along together but first I need to take care of something. Let me show you to your rooms and you can rest there."
Theo interrupted and asked them to follow him. While walking out Hermione threw a look at Draco and he in response raised his eyebrow to indicate that he was wondering what to do next.
