There are only one way in and out of Alimango island. But practically speaking, there are three alternate routes to do so

By the nearby bay in the South, the tourist beach by the East, or the main port on the West.

As this is a remote island, all of them are by sea and thus require naval vehicle to navigate

I mused, surveying the surrounding landscape from atop the roof of my house

My priority is either get to escape from here using a ship, stay around undetected, or spend it hunting down Shirley

Staying around would spell trouble with the amount of Enforcer and Executor being sent here. No doubt the Moonlit world will investigate this incident and arrive at the culprit's identity

As much as the prospect of finding the woman who caused this much bloodshed tempt me, I must choose my option in a rational way

Sighing, I jumped down from the rooftop and land perfectly, using [Reinforcement] to feather the fall

The bay is desolate and not known by much people aside from fishermen, so it is the most viable one

As soon as I landed, the ensuing noise drew the attention of a nearby horde of undead. Cranking their head to my direction as the scent of life registered in their conscious, the undead groaned and started moving crowding toward my direction

I ran past them and head toward the bushes. My hand reached out toward the vegetation, or rather, the small truck hidden inside them

The outdated vehicle was hidden some distance away from our abode so as to be used as emergency exit in case of unwanted guests

Today, it was put to good use

I slammed the door behind me. The key was already put there for reasons of convenience, much to my secret delight - I had almost thought I'd have to Trace a key for this

With a twist of my hand the vehicle's engine roared to life, drawing the attention of even more undead around me. The previous horde exploded into a full sprint toward me

The truck dashed forward and deftly avoided the crowd of dead people aiming to get in its way.

I easily steered the wheel with a decade's experience of driving cars. My physiology as a fourteen year old boy assist me in reaching the pedal more easier, and within moments it was off the road

I could feel the wind rushing through the window as i sped up. The vehicle's light lit up the path in front of me, alerting me of any dead that may prove an obstacle.

Some tried to reach for me, but I quickly used [Time Alter] on the truck to maneuver past them

I need to avoid them as much as possible. If luck doesn't favor me, their flesh could get stuck in the engine and make the truck stop. Everyone who knows about zombie know it's not going to be a good thing

Soon enough, their number thinned out the farther I got away from village.

My light shone down the empty dirt road, which is a narrow strip of gravel laced beneath turned up ground. It was silent as I made my way to my intended destination, the darkness and scarce animal being my only company

With most of the population being concentrated there, it would not be a surprise if they had not ventured out this far yet

I mused quietly. Checking the window reveal the burning village fading to obscurity behind me, and no pursuers
