"Diana..."

As much as I wanted to pay attention to her and act clueless, I couldn't. Picturing the blood on my hands again and again I couldn't help but to let out a shaky breathe in response.

The thundering Inside my chest intensified as I thought of the crime that had happened, that I'd done. The blood on my hands wouldn't go away it felt as if it was still there.

"Diana.." She paused briefly her sharp piercing, scrutinizing gaze searing secrets through my soul, secrets that should stay buried. It almost felt like she could easily read me, I felt naked under her gaze.

I couldn't handle this.

My throat tightened as I drew a few shaky breaths to calm myself. "I know you're hiding something, I can see it right through you."

Damnit! Diana focus.

Curling my fingers into a tight fist I managed fake annoyance on my face not giving her the chance to seek secrets from me anymore after all they did think of me as a rude, spoiled, and a brattish daughter of the millionaire.

"I am fine, now please get to the point why am I here?" The investigator narrowed her eyebrows eyes expressing amusement before she silently nodded. "I believe one of you were present during the crime that had occurred correct?"

"We believe that it is criminal negligence and no accident, because accidents don't take place in undergrounds not unintentionally."

Inhaling a sharp breath. "Crime? I didn't do it, I did- not kill him." I denied, she clicked her tongue unsatisfied by the answer.

"Give me something Diana, I know you know something." No hesitancy, as if she knew and was sure that I was present there. This was not good.

"You do know that you've been caught in an illegal activity? Tell me Diana how many years since you've been street racing?" I swallowed a thick lump knowing there was no other way than to answer this question.

"Just a few months, detective you're messing with the wrong girl, I am not your accountable person."

"Tell me Diana, are you really not?" Her sharp gaze threatened making me clench my jaw holding back a curse I shook my head negatively tongue tied.

She smacked her lips before leaning back into her chair eyes holding me captive. "Do you happen to see this car before? We believe it to be used for vehicular manslaughter. " My breathing ceased as she snapped the documents in front of me, the pictures of my Mercedes AMG came clashing against my eyes.

Again, I shook my head speechless.

She shook her head somewhat disappointed, "You better get yourself prepared because you are held under investigation for the next eight hours." Shít, I was in deep. I was their murder suspect.

"You can't do that!" I snapped agitated disbelief and horror coating my voice.

"Then either you tell me what were your handprints doing on the steering wheel of the car, that's right Diana the handprints on the steering wheel match with yours. You don't think you can get away from this do you?"

Her words were like a stab to my heart, taunting me and I absolutely hated it, I never felt this weak in my life.

"I refuse to speak anything without my lawyer," I whispered helplessly whilst clenching my temples.

"You better find yourself a lawyer before it's too late." Before she could mutter something else, the door flew open followed by an officer and a mysterious man. My eyes connected with those relentlessly cold grey eyes and everything in me froze.

He stared back at me, his gaze calculating and mysteriously eerily and my shaky insides grew warm instantly, my heart racing from fear and his appearance.

Sylvain Saul Vladimir

Was he here to tell in the truth? Oh god, my life was ruined, if the investigator wanted evidence she had it, standing right in front of us.

"Mr.Vladimir." I watched as her gaze switched downwards in somewhat respect? Before she steadied herself when Sylvain tossed a firm nod in acknowledgement.

"He's here for Ms.Valentine." Officer Cullen answered investigator Susana's thoughts. My eyes arched in confusion. Wait what? Why was he here for me?

"Yes, I demand to be left alone with my fiancé, Diana." Drilling lifeless holes at me his expression clad in absolute blankness showing no signs of mischievousness.

Everyone in the room stilled, mind blank, throat dry eyes indicating surprise.

I went pale.

Fiancé!?
