Diana's Pov
My head was throbbing. I rolled over trying to sit upon my bed, clenching my temple back and forth the pounding never seemed to stop.
I took in the unfamiliar surroundings around myself, bewilderment building inside my chest. My eyes dropped around the atmosphere and they widened. Memories of whatever happened yesterday came flashing into my mind, it instantly flew to Sylvain.
Oh god! Sylvain! I had been abducted and kidnapped.
A gasp flew past my lips and I sprang out of the warm duvet my bare feet colliding with the cold marble, sprinting towards the door only to find it locked. "What, please." I kept twisting the doorknob but all my hopes came crashing down when it flew open from the other side, meaning someone had unlocked it.
Shrieking away from the door, I waited curling my fingers in a fist, dreading what was about to come. Sylvain's powerful strides emanated dominance and authority that eventually had me cowering away. His sharp gaze cut across mine in a glare eyes darkening ever so slightly. But that didn't have me jerking away. It was the knife that he played with.
His slim callous fingers whirled flipping it in the air, catching it without any hesitation. I swallowed the painful knot in my throat, "Stay ba-ck." I warned, trying to sound as fierce as I could but failed. Arching a dark brow, an evil smirk formed at the corner of his lips. Yet, he didn't utter a word.
None of us spoke, silence completed the room making it hard to breathe before he decided to break it with the menacing tone of his. "You thought you could get away so easily from me?" He shook his head his tongue clicking in a tsk, tsk throwing a taunt my way.
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked fearing for my life, and no matter how much I hated admitting it. I feared him. I wasn't used to feeling helpless. Barking out a dark laughter he scooted my way with the knife clasped around his fingers. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this moment." I didn't stir from my spot. Feeling the knife graze my cheek.
"What's wrong, scared?" He asked in the villainous tone of his.
"Tell me, Diana-" the blade pressed into my cheeks and I clamped my eyes shut. My name flowing off his tongue in a raw and velvety tone and that made me think he meant no harm, he was playing around. "-do you want me to kill you?" He was savoring my fear something in me knew he liked having control.
Sylvain's warm minty breath fanned my face, we were practically breathing in the same air. His blank gaze lowered down to my lips and his tongue darted out wetting his own. His breathing stirred weird feelings down my stomach. My heart thundered inside my chest and I could feel it beating into my ears. "Words, baby."
"I'm not scared of you," I attempted my eyes seeking his orbs that were clad with nothing but emptiness.
"Your fear begs to differ." He stated narrowing his brows down at me and it wasn't long before I felt the blade feather away that he flung away. "Why am I here then?" I quipped demanding an answer.
