Diana's Pov

Shock.

Devastated.

Betrayed.

"This is how it works in the mafia, you kill one of theirs they come for yours. It's known as Vendetta. Why do you think I've been trying my absolute best to destroy him because I wanted you safe, I wanted you alive. We haven't been on good terms but of course, I cannot stand a member of my family murdered by the hands of my rival. In the end, family is family and I cannot lose my sister."

"Fucking hell Diana, I played fair when it came to you, the only reason I didn't come forward was because I didn't want to break your heart. You tried saving me, you fought for me, you were worried for me- that is exactly how I felt when I warned you. That's all I can explain to you, for now, I'll be seeing you soon." I glared past my threatening tears slamming the MacBook shut.

I was breathless, hurt, and confused, I needed to confront the man I've once called my family.

All this time Odysseus was trying to protect me but I was such a fool to have fallen for my brother's rival. God, I was so stupid. With a broken heart, I staggered to my feet, feeling sick to my stomach. Oh God, why had I been such a fool in love? That I couldn't put two to two together. He was right, Savio indeed let me to him after all I was the pawn, I was the victim who was used mentally and physically.

As I walked through the halls, I snatched the glass of champagne from the waiter and chugged a mouthful.

"Mrs. Vladimir a picture please?" One of the ladies called out, almost out of an instant I tossed them a fake, blank smile and nodded in response. I couldn't make a scene, it'll cause the scandal of the year. I blinked past my tears that threatened to spill like raindrops, picture. I smiled for the picture, masking my expression all the whilst my heart was crying, breaking, and sobbing.

Smile for the picture.

And I did, only to find my soul crying inside.

"Thank you," They appreciated with a thankful smile to which I just nodded with a fake smile.

Hell was about to break between me and my lover.

I spotted Sylvain conversing with one of the associates. My fingers curled into a tight fist, all I saw was betrayal, all I saw myself as a pawn in the game, all I saw was a crushed soul. "Gentlemen. Excuse us," My heart slammed furiously, as I came face to face with the man who I had once called my everything, once called my lover. It made sense, how could he love the sister of the man who had killed his brother? Our bound was nothing but a sin.

It was a Sinbound.

"Diana-?" My husband inquired, examining the tears that I fought to keep at an edge. The exact moment he knew something was up, with my hands upon his bicep I walked us to his office. He cradled my broken expression into his calloused hands swiping away the tears, as though he wanted to take away the pain and kill the person who'd done this to me.
