Some people don't like the rain. It can be depressing and gloomy. Kelsey on the other hand loved it, especially after the workweek she had. The rain for her was soothing as she sat in the armchair, knees pulled to the side, looking out the window watching the droplets hit the warm pavement, coffee in hand. Alone time was nice, it gave her space to think without someone worrying about her, and let's face it, Flip worried. He had every right to be too. She would love to be able to take some of his stress away.

The shuffling of feet made her turn towards the hallway, seeing Flip stretch his arms above his head in an attempt to wake up faster.

"Morning, Princess," he said placing a kiss atop her head and walking into the kitchen taking a mug from the cupboard and filling it with the remaining coffee.

"I'm surprised you're awake." she replied, taking a sip from her cup, "You worked late last night."

"Yeah, it's this fucking drug case." he made his way back to where Kelsey was sitting and took a seat in the opposite armchair, "They've been moving cocaine for months now, but the guy we need hasn't been in the vicinity for a while."

"So you know who the guy is?" Kelsey questioned, rather intrigued.

Flip tilted his head and looked at her with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Yes. That's part of my job you know. Finding out the names of these people." he chuckled.

"I know it is," she said placing her coffee on the small table next to her and pulling her legs out to meet the ground in front of her. She began to bounce her knee up and down; a nervous habit. "I just - Does this mean -..." she stumbled over her words.

Flip bent forward from where he was sitting and reached a hand out placing it over hers. "Hey, what's wrong?" he said gently rubbing his thumb over the top of her hand.

She could start to feel the tightness in her throat grow and her eyes start to burn.

No...not right now...not today

"Are you going to have to leave for a few days again?" she said as she lifted her eyes to meet his.

Flip sighed. She was obviously afraid of a repeat event. Knowing that Nolan had planted that necklace in her room had disturbed them all. Especially knowing that he did it all without a way to be detected.

"As of right now, no, it is a possibility though." Flip could see her face fall. "Come here." He said taking her hands and pulling her onto his lap. "If I have to leave I will let you know as soon as I find out. I'll even see if Zoey and Ronnie can come over, or Amy and Adam."

"Amy and Adam are traveling the world. I think it's a honeymoon stage." Kelsey giggled, "But I would love the company if you have to go."

"I worry about you when I have to do these undercover jobs." Flip replied pulling her in closer, as she rested her head in the crook of his neck, "Noah said you cry at night sometimes."

She nodded her head and held onto him tighter. "I do. Anxiety is a bitch. I worry about you too."

"Well, I don't plan on going anywhere, baby. You'll be stuck with me forever if you so choose."

Kelsey lifted her head from his shoulder with a grin on her face. "Excuse me, is that your way of asking me to marry you?"

Flip let his head fall back in laughter. "Not at all sweetheart, that wouldn't be the proper way to ask someone who deserves the world." He cupped her cheek tilting her head up to meet his in a passionate kiss. "One day...maybe..." he said with a wink.

She playfully slapped his shoulder. "Jerk." she laughed.
