"Those Beignets look delicious (Y/N)." (F/N) smiles as you flip them carefully
"Thank you Papa!" You reply cheerfully, mixing more dough together as your mother stitches another project
"Are they almost done, sweetheart?" (M/N) asks, putting away her sewing kit and walking over
You nod in affirmation "Mm-hmm! Just a couple more minutes Mommy!" You take out the Beignets, letting them cool
You add more dough to the pan with your fathers help, letting those cook. You grab the powered sugar from the pantry and coat the cooled Beignets with careful movement
You watch as your parents each take one and bite into it, eagerly waiting for their reactions
Their faces shift from surprise, shock and finally landing on happiness
"These are amazing baby!" (M/N) cheers, taking another bite as she goes for another
"Especially for your first time!"
(F/N) nods in agreement, taking another bite "It definitely is (N/N)" he suddenly smiles at you "But don't you think it could use some else?"
You look at him confused before taking a Beignet and biting it. You chew for a bit before realizing what you need
Running over to the pantry, you dig around the shelfs, smiling in accomplishment when you see the honey
You skip back to the table and drizzle the golden-like syrup over the Beignets, putting some over the one you bit and taking a bite
"Mmm!" You jump in happiness at the taste, proud of yourself for making it. Your parents smile and laugh at your little dance
Your mother finishes her dessert, dusting her fingers before looking at you again "Okay sweetheart, now go and get some night clothes. Tiana's parents said it was okay for you to stay over."
You gasp a big smile takes over your face as you cheer "YAY!" Your parents laugh again, your father goes to say something but gets interrupted from a voice outside.
"Hey everybody! I made Gumbo!"
You gasp and take the giant plate of Beignets you made, looking at your parents before running to the door, your father catches up and opens it for you. Raising the plate up and shouting
"I made Beignets!!" You giggle and smile when Tiana waves happily at you
The townsfolk quickly gather around, giving compliments as they come to get their dishes
"Ohh girls, that's smells good!"
"I got some Hush Puppies here! Hold on!"

"You know what the good thing is about food, girls?"
The two families watch with smiles and laughs as the townsfolk enjoy the delicious meal they made, making jokes and having fun
"It brings folks together from all walks of life."
"Why Mr. James?"
Sitting on the bed with Tiana, James goes to answer your question, waving his hand
"Well (Y/N), it warms them right up from the inside and puts littles smiles on their faces." He smiles warmly at you as Eudora sits down next to you
James takes out a piece of paper from his pocket, showing it to the both of you
"And when I open my own restaurant. People are going to line up for miles around! Just to get a taste of my food." You and Tiana look up at her father with smiles
"Our food." You both say in unison, making James and Eudora laugh
James grabs a marker from the nightstand, writing something down on it "That's right you two, our food." He gives the paper to Tiana, you look over her shoulder to see the restaurant, 'Silver Bell Palace' written at the top
Tiana looks at you, both of your eyes bright with glee before hugging each other around the photo. Letting go of each other, you look outside and gasp, crawling over to the window quickly
"Look!"
Tiana follows, seeing what you were looking at as well, settling next you. Her parents smiling at the both of you
"What are you two girls looking at?" James asks
"It's the Evening Star Mr. James!" You point outside towards the sky, Tiana leans her hands on the window seal
She looks at her father "Charlotte's fairytale book said, if you make a wish on the Evening Star, it's sure to come true!" You nod in agreement, still looking at the star
James and Eudora look at you two with warm smiles, the wife coming over and hugging the both of you
"You make a wish on that star, sweethearts." She smiles down at you, looking at her husband as he speaks
"Yes. And you hold those dreams with all your little hearts." James encourages "But remember, that old star can only take you part of the way. You got to help it along with some hard work of your own." He smiles
"But you got to promise one thing." He looks at you both as you listen attentively, heeding every word
"That you'll never lose sight of what's really important." Eudora puts her hand on his shoulder, James holding on to it with another smile, looking at the two of you
You and Tiana nod, remembering this moment. Never forgetting a word
Eudora leans over to kiss your foreheads, leaving the both of you giggling, before jumping in bed
"Good night girls, get some sleep." James turns off the lights as the couple walks out of the room and closing the door
......
As soon as you made it clear, you both jumped up, Tiana grabbing the picture on her nightstand and rushing to the window
You take take the picture out of her hands and look at it, determined to make this dream a reality
You look up at the Evening Star, Tiana doing the same. You close your eyes and wish as hard as you can
"Please, please, please!"
Opening your eyes again, you smile at each other, then the picture. You jump at little when you notice the frog next to the both of you
With Tiana behind you, you stare at the frog
It stares back
And it croaks
You both scream, making the poor thing jump off, Tiana dives under the covers as you slam the window closed and locking it, going under the covers too, the both of you clinging to each other.
You couldn't wait for this night to be over.

Note: OKAY okay! I know I Said I was gonna post yesterday. Ehhh
But here's the thing.... I was looking at my screen, urging my fingers to type but my brain was like 'Nah man we ain't doin this right now'
School really knows how to drain your energy....😅😅😅😓

Annnd in case your wondering: I did change the restaurant name because one: the two of you are going to manage it together, two: if you look it up, these flowers are one of the most famous in New Orleans and three: the symbolism of these flowers represent Jesus, so I had to name it after the flower.
