⸺MARIA AND KLAUS WERE DRAGGED TO the motel by Cha-Cha and Hazel. They tied them to chairs next to each other and they took turns torturing them. Cha-Cha was in the middle of choking Klaus to get him to reveal where Five was. "Number Five, where is he?"

"Don't...stop...I'm almost there."

"Is that a?"

"Yep!"

"Oh!" They walked away from Klaus absolutely disgusted by what they saw. Klaus was just laughing to himself like a psychopath. "Ah! There's nothing like a little stranglin' to get the blood flowing, am I right?"

Maria was just sitting in her chair laughing with him. "What is so funny, you asshole?!"

Hazel walked over to him and slapped them both upside the head. "Ow!"

Maria just looked up at the wall since she had been staring at the floor for about three hours. "Well, mi amigos, we have been here for the past ten hours and you have learned nothing! We have been choked and beaten and you still know nothing!"

"She's right, I mean, nobody tells us shit. The truth is, we're the only two people in that house nobody will even notice is gone. You assholes kidnapped the wrong people!" Maria and Klaus were laughing, but in reality, they were both upset and mad about how they were treated in that house. Yes, Klaus and Maria were broken and they hide that by making jokes, but they still have good ideas. Klaus was insanely creative and Maria was basically a genius, but just because they have a sense of humor, people ignore them.

"Let's waterboard them." They went over to Klaus first and started waterboarding him but he was just drinking the water. "Ah! Oh, I needed that."

"Come on!"

"I was...so parched. Thank you! Thank you!" Hazel and Cha-Cha looked at each other in defeat. "Should we waterboard her?"

"Let's be honest, she'll just drink it too." They walked into the bathroom in defeat and Maria and Klaus just sat there. Klaus was talking to Ben and Maria was just staring at the ceiling. "Withdrawal. It's staring now, isn't it? Must be. Otherwise, who's the dead babushka?"

"Wait, what do you mean dead babushka?"

"Oh, right, you can't see her, but Klaus, who is that?" Klaus looked up from the floor. "I don't know, but it's driving me crazy. The bitch won't shut up!"

"Hey! Watch your mouth! What did I say about eyes front!" Maria looked over at Klaus who looked like an absolute mess. "Hey, just stay calm alright."

They could hear Cha-Cha and Hazel talking about some sort of torture technique while Ben was leaning against the wardrobe. Maria and Klaus had blood everywhere and they were both extremely tired. Hazel and Cha-Cha walked over to them with Klaus's coat in hand. "Hand me his coat."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait..." Klaus stuttered out.

"Let's see." They started rifling through his pockets to find dozens of drugs. "What are you doing? That's mine, that's my personal stuff."

"Klaus, just calm down."

"Oh, what do we have here?"

"Hey, no, no, no, no, be careful with that! It's-It's my...asthma medication!"

"Now we're getting somewhere." They started throwing some of his drugs on the floor and then crushing them which did not make Klaus feel good. "No, hey! Whoa! We can have a conversation, we're adults!"

"Okay, you want more?"

"No, No!" They started crushing even more and Klaus looked like he was on the verge of crying and it was breaking Maria's heart, but she knew that whatever she said wouldn't be able to calm him down. "No, no, no! Stop! Stop! Please listen! Listen I can...I can get you cash. Amputee hookers, whatever!"

They kept crushing it and Ben was just watching him with disappointment. "Hey, just please, just listen! Just don't...now, please!"

Hazel found weed chocolate in his pocket and he didn't look at the rapper carefully enough. "Chocolate! Mm-mm-mm! You want a piece?"

He handed a piece of chocolate to Cha-Cha and Maria let out a small laugh that was barely audible. "You gonna tell him it's 'special' chocolate?"

"Not until their high as kites." He said it quietly enough just so that they couldn't hear him. Maria knew exactly what kind of chocolate it was and she kept looking at the ground so she wouldn't start a fit of laughter. Cha-Cha looked over at him and dangled the drugs in front of his face. "This could all be yours for the low, low price of telling us everything."

"Okay, fine." Maria looked at him in disbelief. "Klaus!"

"Shut it, lady!" Klaus started to tell them everything and Maria and Ben were just looking at the ground in disappointment . "Okay I don't-I don't know where Five is. I wasn't lying about that, but I can tell you that he's...hasn't...hasn't been making much sense since he came back."

"Elaborate."

"I...uh...He's just...He's been acting like a...a...a lunatic. He's been sitting in a van in front of a...a lab or something and...looking for the owner of an eyeball. One of those fake ones."

"That makes no sense."

"Hold on, just hold on. Tell us more about this eye and why is it so important?"

"He said it had to do something with the end of times, or something." Hazel and Cha-Cha looked at each other and then immediately grabbed their chairs. They dragged the two into the closet and they were facing each other. The closed the door and put the tape on their mouths and Maria was staring at Klaus with a death stare. Klaus was looking everywhere but at Maria, knowing he was in serious trouble. He would rather continued being tortured instead of having Maria be mad at him. She could be scary. Klaus started blanking out hearing someone scream his name but it was all in his head. "Klaus!"

"Klaus!"

"Go away!"

"Klaus!" He started having flashbacks to when he was put in a mausoleum. "Dad, let me out!"

"Klaus!"

"Dad!" He snapped out of it and heard Ben talking to him. Maria was just staring out of the closet door. "Klaus. Klaus. Breathe. You're in the worst of it now. Just try and stay calm."

Suddenly, the maid came in and started vacuuming with her headphones in. Him and Maria started trying to yell, but it wasn't working due to the tape on their mouths. "She can't hear you guys. You know what the worst part of being dead is? You're stuck. Nowhere to go. Nowhere to change. That's the real torture, if you gotta know. Watching your brother take for granted everything you lost and pissing it all away. Look at Maria. She's here because she went back up to you to save you. You could have just been paying attention and you both wouldn't be here right now."

Klaus looked at Maria who had given up on trying to get the maids attention and completely ignoring everything Ben was saying. She was just looking at the ground with tears running down her face. "You have to start realizing that your decisions don't just affect you anymore."
