Our training was going pretty well at the Ministry. I wouldn't call it fun but it can be enjoyable at times. Ron, Neville and I all passed our Auror Tests. I did miss Ginny a lot though but we regularly stayed in touch writing letters to each other at least twice a week. We entered our dorm all sweaty after a 5km run. I ran straight into the bathroom and yelled "I call the shower first!" Neville and Ron both groaned in frustration. After we had all showered we made our way to the dining room. Well it was pretty small but could fit all of us somehow. We ate dinner and then Auror Garcia escorted us to a meeting room. We all took our seats and Kingsley entered the room with Auror Davis. "Hello once more new Aurors. Today we have gathered in the main meeting room to discuss your first mission." Excited whispers could be heard from all around the room. "Today we have reports of a Death Eater Sighting near Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop in Hogsmeade. Tomorrow morning we are sending you and some more experienced Aurors with you to Hogsmeade to keep an eye on things. Now remember at Hogsmeade you cannot interact with anyone except for your fellow Aurors." A few groans were heard. Kingsley ignored them and kept going with his speech. "Another rule is you cannot buy anything from any of the shops and Ms Garcia and Mr Davis will be keeping an eye on you. You will be put into groups tomorrow morning. Make sure to be at the training courtyard by 6am with your wand. That is all for tonight! You may return to your dorm rooms."

The next morning we all hurried to get ready. I got dressed and grabbed my wand, Ron and Neville trailing behind me. As Kingsley mentioned, we were all put into groups of 5. Both Ron and Neville were in my group as well as 2 others. We were planning to fly to a nearby secure location (no idea where that is) on brooms so we can also practice not being seen by muggles and wizards. Then we were going to apparate to Hogsmeade. Neville was really nervous about being on a broom for more than 10mins. He had had practice during our daily training but he still wasn't very confident. Once everyone was sorted in their group we were let go group by group. We were 4th. We were in the air soon enough. All of us followed the group in front. This wasn't anything like Quidditch. Quidditch you could fly around the pitch whenever you want but right now you had to stay in formation. It wasn't fun. We arrived at the Aurors House in around 20 minutes and we all apparated to Hogsmeade.

Today, Hermione, Luna and I were all going to Hogsmeade for a girls day out (if that's what you wanna call it). We were going to go shopping, eat, and talk. We walked down to Hogsmeade together laughing. Pansy and her friends (more like sidekicks) were behind us snickering and teasing us, but we ignored them because we didn't have time to waste on those brats. We first went to Honeydukes because who doesn't like candy! Then we settled down at the Hogs Head for a drink. I felt like I was constantly being watched. I didn't know why. We agreed to go with Hermione to Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop. We entered the store, Hermione bouncing like a rabbit and Luna and I waited for her by the door. Then we heard a glass shattering.

I watched Ginny, Hermione and Luna for a long time. I missed Ginny so much, I just wish I could hug her once. They entered Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop and I was immediately on high alert. That was where the Death Eater was spotted yesterday. I crouched there for 5 minutes being cautious and looking out for any strange activity. I was about to look away when I saw a figure, cloaked in black and keeping to the shadows, trying not to be seen. I looked towards Ron and he mouthed 'We-can't-attack-unless-they-attack. That's-what-the-guy-said.' I nodded. I carefully watched the man closely. Then he attacked. He shattered glass in one of the store's windows and we all approached. The man smiled at us showing his gross yellow teeth. He ran. All the Aurors chasing after him but I knew what was happening. I grabbed Ron and Neville back and said "He's leading Aurors away so the other Death Eaters have a clear shot. We should stay." They both nodded frantically. The door of the shop opened and Ginny, Hermione and Luna came bustling out. "Harry?!" Ginny exclaimed. But I noticed it. A movement in the background. "GINNY! WATCH OUT!" She turned and saw the man advance towards her. Hermione and Luna ran but Ginny was too slow. The Death Eater shot a spell at her. It felt like it was all happening in slow motion. Without thinking or saying anything my wand lifted and a shield surrounded Ginny. The spell bounced straight off the shield and straight into the Death Eater, stunning him. Ginny, who was preparing to be hit, opened her eyes. Suddenly pain lanced down my back, causing me to fall. The last thing I heard was Ginny screaming my name.
A/N I feel really awful about the wait for this chapter. It is getting harder for me to find time to write as school progresses! I'm getting so much homework! I really hope enjoyed this chapter as it took quite some time to write.
