Chapter 20: The Almost Escape

When we woke up the next morning, we noticed that the window was open. Harry looked at me knowing that this was our only chance to escape. We had heard one of the Death Eaters complaining about how hot it was in this room. Cautiously, we creeped over to the open window. We looked down. It was high. If we jumped we would die. We could use magic but we didn't have our wands. Harry and I slumped to the floor knowing without our wands we couldn't escape. Harry pulled me into his embrace and we stayed there for a long time. It wasn't until I spotted a wand lying on the ground next to a chair that we planned out escape. Harry grabbed it and I stood beside the window. "I-I'm scared" I whispered. When you're jumping from this high you would be scared about whether or not you're going ot die. "Do you trust me?" Harry asks. I nod. "When you're ready." He says. "3, 2, 1" I whisper and then I jump. I heard Harry yell "Arresto Momento!" I stop a bit further from the ground before I drop. I look up at Harry. He was panicking. I saw Death Eaters drag him back as he tries to grab the windowsill. "HARRY!!" I scream. He mouths 'I love you' before being taken away. I whimper at those 3 words he said to me. There was a loud 'BANG' from behind and I see Death Eaters running for me. I sprint away trying to remember how to apparate. Hermione had taught me the basics. I just needed to remember them and concentrate because if I didn't apparate soon they would catch me.

When I finally retraced my memory I stopped and thought. The Burrow, the Burrow, the Burrow. I heard a faint 'CRACK' before I felt really sick. I opened my eyes and saw I was home. Ignoring the nausea I ran in and shouted "MUM?!" Mum came running and when she saw me she burst into tears. "Oh Ginny," she wailed, "You're alright!" Footsteps could be heard from the stairs. Everyone hugged me. Ron and Hermione asked "Where's Harry?" "H-He couldn't escape on t-time" I stutter. Ron looked upset but Herimone hugged me again and said "It's not you're fault." I burst into tears and Hermione holds me tighter. Mum gives me Ice Cream and Fred and George try to entertain me. I actually laugh at some of their jokes. But in the end I'm always thinking about Harry. Dad calls Kingsley over and he interviews me about what happened. I told him everything. He thinks they might move locations because I escaped. Kingsley says that we might have to attack them if Harry doesn't manage to leave himself. Hermione accompanies me and I tell her about how I apparated. She's proud of me for learning so quickly. Ron hasn't talked to me yet, he's been in his room all day. James and Lily come too and they embrace me saying it's not my fault over and over again. Sirius comes too. We all have dinner together and it was filled with laughter because of Fred, George, James and Sirius. James gets smacked a lot by Lily. It was around my bedtime when James, Lily and Sirius leaves. I'm sharing a room (NOTE THAT! A ROOM NOT A BED!) with Ron and Hermione because I don't want to sleep alone but Ron wants to be with Hermione so yeah. When I lay in bed I thought about Harry again and again and again. How was he? Was he hurt? Had they moved him? Would I see him again? 'Don't think that' I scolded myself mentally, 'of course I'm going to see him again' I rolled around trying to get to sleep except failing miserably. Ron was snoring his head off while Hermione read not caring. It was at 1am when I finally slept.

IT'S DECEMBER!! Sorry, I absolutely love December because it's nearly Christmas. Anyways this chapter is up and I really hope you like it. There are more SHOUT OUTS!!
