Chapter No 27

Feeling her head heavy, she tried opening her eyes. It took her a few moments to register where she was. She was in her room at Saim's place. The warm liquid once again streamed down her eyes

"You are awake" Ramsha entered inside with a tray of food in her hand. Gulping back her tears she sat up in the bed and smiled

"You made all of us worried by your condition" Ujala looked puzzled at her remark

"What do you mean Bhabhi? What happened?" Last she remembered she was in Coordinator's office and she broke down there

"You don't remember anything?" Ramsha told her that she was running hysterically in the middle of the road when Jahan saw her, "Thank God Jahan Bhai was passing from there. He has brought you home"

Now Ujala felt embarrassed and angry at herself. Why always Jahan has to see her in her vulnerable state!

"J-Jahan sir" she whispered

"Ok now eat this food. I'll go and tell Jahan Bhai that you are ok now. He is impatiently waiting outside" with that said Ramsha went from there while tears again pooled in her eyes as she felt embarrassed that yet again Jahan had seen her weak side

"What will sir think of me that I don't have any control over my emotions!"

After that day Ujala was avoiding even the sight of Jahan. In past one week whenever Jahan came home to meet Saim, she locked herself in the room and after making sure he has left only then she would come out

Her studies have been completed. She has to go back to Islamabad. When she told it to Ramsha she suggested to wait for weekend because Jahan is also going there on weekend and she could go with him

"I will not go with Jahan sir. You ask Saim Bhai to book my seat" she said in final tone

"I am seeing from a few days, you flinch hearing Jahan Bhai's name like you've seen some ghost" in answer Ujala could just sigh, what should she tell that she was feeling awkward to face him. After ten minutes Ramsha finally convinced her to go with Jahan

"Ok Bhabhi .. I'll pick her ... ok don't worry .... Allah Hafiz" he put down the call and exhaled a despairing sigh

Ujala was the girl for whom she felt love for the first time. For her happiness he backed out from her love but fate .. fate again brought her in front of him but this time too he would keep himself away from her. He has promised it to his own self when he took her to the graveyard. In those moments he realized that nothing can replace her love for Umer like he cannot shed away her love from his heart. He got to know from Saim that Ujala had consented to marry her cousin Aehmat. Once again, he couldn't step back from the urge to look after her

If it would be any other man than Aehmat, Jahan would have no problem because for him Ujala's happiness mattered the most. But Aehmat was not the right guy for her. Aehmat is a notorious businessman and his ways of dealings were based on manipulation and cheating. When he shared the same with Saim, the suggestion he had was enough to lose his temper

"Are you mad or what!! ... main kya itna beghairat hoon (Am I this low?)"

"What's wrong in it? It is the only way to protect Ujala from him" Saim tried to make him understand

"Everything ... Everything is wrong in it. Everybody will think that I was waiting for Umer to die so I could marry Ujala" he felt disgusted at himself
