Anyway, so check that out. I also created a one shots series yesterday in honor of Valentine's Day. I'm actually really proud of it, and will start posting one shots for that series on a somewhat regular basis. Anyway, enjoy the chapter!

Tris’ POV

“Honey, I just got a letter from UCLA, I think you better read it.” My mom tells me. She hands me the letter and I carefully examine it. I slide my fingers through the paper and carefully tear it open. It reads:

Miss Beatrice Prior:

We would like to inform you that we have received your application form. The University of Los Angles would like to inform you that we highly appreciate your presence at our school. We would like to offer you a full scholarship for you athletic abilities in gymnastics/dance, and for your intelligence as a student. We would also like to offer you a early acceptance in our school starting in the next semester in January. We would like to meet you in an interview for further requirements and questions. We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Daniel Hanks

Oh shit, I totally forgot about applying to that school. The only reason I applied was because I bet Caleb that I would be able to get in if I tried. And he told me I wouldn’t. We had a huge debate on this for a month until my dad made a deal with us. If I applied and got in, Caleb would owe me a hundred bucks. If I lost, then I would owe him the money. We agreed on the deal and my dad told us to shut up about it because he was annoyed with all the arguing we were bickering about. Let’s just say my brother now owes me a hundred bucks. What pains me the most is that I researched on the school, and discovered that UCLA really likes athletes. I played soccer for like six years, gymnastics for eight, and I still do it, and dance since I was two. I really want to get into that school, but I don’t want to leave everyone. Especially Tobias.

I grunt, this is so stupid. I literally just came back from England for not even a week, and I’m already offered a scholarship at UCLA.

KILL ME NOW. I take ragged breaths and try to calm myself down. Breathe, Tris. Breathe.

When I finally calm myself down, I go to my wardrobe. I pick out ripped jeans and a casual white t-shirt. I put on my contacts on, and put my hair in a high ponytail. I brush my teeth, and finally head down to get breakfast.

“Mom, Dad, I got accepted into UCLA.” I break the silence. Caleb’s head immediately snaps to where I am and he breaks into a frown.

“What? You actually won the bet? Damn, nice job, Bea.” Caleb says.

“There’s a downside to this. They want me in January, and I really have no idea what to do about it.” I explain to them.

“Honey, we will respect whatever you choose. We want you to be happy.” My mom says.

“Yeah sweetie, I agree with your mother. We don’t care what you choose as long  you don’t regret your choices.

I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. “Thank you, this means a lot to me. That you will respect my choices. Thanks guys, I love you.”
