Chapter 28

Tris' POV

I drag a small luggage with me on one hand with a backpack slung over the same arms. My left hand clutches onto my passport that I will need in order to get through by. I wait in line patiently to receive my boarding ticket.

"Last name?" A lady asks me.

"Prior. P-r-i-o-r." I spell out for her.

"Beatrice?" She asks unsure of herself.

"Yes ma'am." She prints out my boarding pass and I take it while thanking her.

Airport security isn't as bad as I anticipated is would have been. The only part I didn't like was having to take off my shoes and retying them back together.

The agony wait is more or less painful and consists of me shifting several times in my seat. An eighteen year old boy approaches me with a shy smile.

I look up from my phone. I sit crossed legged in one of the chairs waiting for the boy to say something.

"Yes?" I finally break the silence.

"Hi, sorry. My friends over there dared me to approach you and get your number. Can you just write random numbers down on this piece of paper." I take pity on him and nod.

"I have idiot friends just like that." I smile. I take the pen from his hand and write a series of random numbers.

"Here." I hand him both the pen and slip of paper.

"Thank you so much. You have no idea how much that means to me." I laugh.

"Sure. It was nice talking to you." I say wanting to go back to reading on my phone.

"You're really pretty by the way." He walks away flushed and I can't help myself from blushing as well.

Not everyday does a teen walk up to you and calls you pretty. The only one I will allow to call me that is Tobias.

Around eleven-fifteen, my flight is called to board. I take my belongings with me and head to the entrance. I find me designated seat, 5-F and place my bags up in the compartment above, taking my laptop before putting my bags above, and take a seat. Since I won't be able to use my laptop sometime while we are off, I take my phone out, switch it to airplane mode, and go onto my reading app.

Ding.

"This is your captain speaking. I will be flying you to our destination Chicago, Illinois. There will be an half an hour delay tops because of heavy wind and drift. We are just waiting for a few more people until we can depart. The total flight will be around four hours and five minutes."

My favorite parts of flying was always taking off and landing. I always enjoyed the rush we felt taking off the ground and into the air. Although it may seem boring and uneventful for some, I find is exhilarating and fun. Don't ask.

We depart no longer than twenty minutes later, with the plane sending into the air.

The flight was uneventful. It consisted of me catching up on Supernatural, a TV series I am currently halfway through. I mainly spent my four hours watching that, and eating snacks I brought with me.

Huh, food and TV. No surprise there.

"We will be landing in ten minutes, please fasten your seatbelt for the remainder of the ride, thank you." The intercom announces.

My parents and Caleb will be picking me up from the airport at around six. Since there is a three hour time difference from Los Angeles to Chicago, I left at eleven it would be technically three back there. Since here is three hours later, it is six back home. I be hoping the time difference doesn't affect me in any way.

The plane descends slowly and I feel it hit the ground with a loud "thump".

The next few minutes is filled with an announcement and people tying to file their way out. I take my time, eating for almost everyone to leave until I finally get out of my seat and remove my bag out of the compartment. After making sure I did not leave anything behind, I make my way out of the plane while thanking the attendant and pilots.

I text my parents: Just arrived, I'll be waiting in the baggage claim area.

The three of them arrive not later than half an hour later.

"Tris!" Caleb.

"Hey!" I roll my bag with me towards them.

"Oh let me help with those." He grabs my backpack.

"Thanks."

My parents greet me with a hug and the duration of the ride home is filled with what is currently happen in our daily lives.

Tomorrow I will be graduating and will spend the rest of the summer back home.

Gosh I'm excited.

A/N: I was going to make this longer, but I got really lazy. My brother is currently in Chicago for this leadership program at a college with other seniors, and I was really jealous because he sent us a picture of him in Navy Pier. I was staring at the ferris wheel like, "Theo and Shai were there. They filmed part of Divergent thee", yeah so I was jealous. I have a question, is Theo and Ruth engaged or something? Because I saw this thing on the internet that said they were looking of rings? And I got all pissed and whatnot. But it was posted a while ago. I don't know, I'm happy for them and all, but Sheo...

Whatever. I'll see you guys later. I'm thinking about updating my other high school AU, sometime this week? Idk. Bye and remember to check out my other stories; Finding Him and It's Complicated.

I forgot to mention, there's going to be like two more chapters to this story. A final chapter and an epilogue. Wow, I can't believe it's almost over.
