Nova slowly opened their eyes, only seeing darkness around them. They tried to be as calm as they could but the last thing they remembered was going home and now they're somewhere dark again. The enby stood up, reaching for their sword, finding it was gone.
"I need to stop getting in these type of situations.."
"Waking up in a dark room with no weapons?" A feminine voice asked, the voice echoed throughout where ever they were.
"Who said that?"
"Just...a helping hand.."
"What the hell does that mean? First you kidnap me and now you're giving me riddles?"
"I did not kidnap you, you came here on your own will. You came to your inbetween"
"My inbetween? This looks nothing like it!"
The voice scoffed. "Of course, you're used to that white time traveler castle already.."
"What does that mean? Stop the bull shit. Just explain it already."
"You are different than Karl, you're stronger than him. Meaning you need a different place, one that can help you control your abilities.." Suddenly a bright light appear, causing Nova to close they eyes. When they opened them, in front of them sat a large, abandoned looking, mansion, it reminded them of a woodland mansion.
"What the hell.."
"This is your inbetween. Your personal inbetween."
"Holy shit, this is...I have my own spooky mansion?"
"You do, but tonight is not the night to explore... One thing before you go... Don't stray from the path."
"Yeah, i'm going to have fun getting off the path" They said with a smirk on their face, before they began to gasp for air.
"This is not a joking matter. Don't stray from the path."
"O-Okay!" Nova suddenly sat up, quickly taking deep breaths. They looked around, seeing they were in their home again.
"Nova? How-how did you get in here?" The enby quickly looked to their left, seeing Eret standing in the door way.
"Today..Today is not my day." They sighed, putting a hand over their eyes.
"Are you okay?" He asked, walking over to the couch and kneeling by it to get on Nova's level.
"I'm fine, just confused as fuck."
"You're not alone there, you disappeared while you were sleeping, did you go back to your reality?"
"Yeah...yeah I did.." They lied, looking towards the door. "How long was I gone?"
"An hour maybe?"
"Huh...Only felt like a few minutes there.."
"Well i'm glad you're safe"
"You and me both.."
