💜Chapter Twenty Four💜

Nova opened their eyes, seeing a white ceiling above them, it looked spiky. As they sat up, they looked around the room, it all felt so familiar but.. it also felt just like anxiety and sadness. They looked, seeing the clothes all neatly in the hamper, the desk covered in notebooks, sketch books, and figurines, a laptop rested next to them next to their phone. They tapped the screen on their phone, reading '11 AM' with multiple wattpad notifications, the only notifications they ever get.

"Sweetie! Are you awake?" They heard a feminine voice call out.

"Yeah mom!"

"Start getting ready! We need to leave for the Easter party!" The enby sighed, they didn't know why but they felt a sudden feeling of dread fall over them. Nova checked their computer, seeing google hangouts telling them they had a message.

'Happy Easter you guys' From someone named Aki, and a meme from Luka. The chat was titled 'the bois', so they looked up 'minecraft easter memes', finding green creeper peeps and sending it to the chat before shutting their laptop and going downstairs. Their mom was making bacon mac and cheese, her usual meal for parties.

"Good morning, *@#*@" The name she said sounded all messed up, they couldn't tell what she had said.

"morning mom-"

"Take some bacon and start getting ready, you slept in really late."

"Because I don't sleep"

She scoffed. "Stop saying stupid shit like that, it's not impressive, now go get ready."

"Okay.." They grabbed the bacon before going back to their room and wiping the tears away, quickly munching on it and getting dressed. They wore a black t-shirt, blue jeans, a a flannel, and white clout goggles. After fully getting ready they grabbed their headphones and went downstairs, sitting next to the giant dogs. "hey boys" They said, slipping their headphone on and playing Internet Ruined Me by Wilbur Soot. They sat their for awhile until they had to leave, going to the car and driving to their grandmas house. As Nova opened their car door and stepped out a little girl wrapped her arms around their waist.

"Why did you leave?" The little girl asked, she looked so familiar..

"What?"

"You left your family.." Nova went down on their knees to be just a little smaller than the girl.

"What are you talking about?"

"You said you'd always be here for me.. you left me.. You left your family!-" The world went dark around Nova, everyone around disappeared.

"What the? Hello?!" The reality traveler screamed out, seeing a figure in a green cloak appear. On their face was a white mask with a 'XD' on it.

"Hello Nova, you finally are playing the game" The figure spoke, his voice was deep and had an echo to it.

"You're...You're DreamXD? I've heard tales of you from Technoblade and Philza" Nova reached for their sword, finding they were still in the clothes from that memory. "Who were those people?"

"You wanted to know of your family didn't you? You asked Dream about it.."

"I..I left them..?" He nodded. "God..That's so selfish.."

"Is it wrong for you to want happiness?"

"It is if I make others suffer."

"That. That is why you were chosen." Nova looked up, staring at the taller figure. "You were chosen because you'd rather make other happy and comfortable than be happy. You're selfless."

"So I was chosen because I was a good person?"

"Because you're the hero the SMP needs. I'll make you a deal.. I will let you go back to save you friends from my look alike as long as you agree to come back to the afterlife."

".. As long as my family lives, deal."

"I knew you'd make the right choice." He snapped before everything became bright..

Nova took a deep breath as they sat up, feeling a sting of pain as they moved, remembering how they were shot minutes prior. As they looked towards their wound, the arrow was gone.

"I'm alive.." They stood up, running into the bathroom, seeing their eyes were white, just like Erets.. Quickly the enby grabbed a purple bandana, resting on the side of the sink. It had been there for weeks to finally be cleaned of the blood that had soaked into it. Nova tied it around their head to cover their eyes, they still could see through it but it was just to allow them to run out of the house. With adrenaline coursing through them, they ran out of the bathroom, grabbing their sword, bow, and arrows from their bed room and running down the steps.

"Nova?!" Tommy and Tubbo yelled in unison as the reality traveler ran out the door. The boys followed after them, confused as hell to what was going on. Nova rounded the corner, seeing their dad on the ground with a sword to his throat. Dream raised his sword about to cut the kings head off, as he brought his sword down, it was stopped.

"Sorry to ruin your fun, Dream." They smirked, looking at Dream then down at their swords. They pushed him back, moving so they were in front of Eret.

"Nova? You-You're alive?!"

"Not exactly..." Nova took off their bandana as they looked back, revealing their new white eyes.

"Your eyes..they-"

"Look like yours..." They looked back in front of them, seeing Dream chuckling.

"So you're here to save your precious family before you go back to the afterlife?" Dream cackled.

"I am. I'm here to take you down with me." Nova looked back, seeing their small family, they couldn't help smile. Tears beginning to roll down their cheeks as they looked at them. "Goodbye..." They closed their eyes as Dream ran at them, both disappeared into thin air. All that was left was Dream's mask and a compass, on the back was the word 'Home' engraved into the silver. It pointed to the home they built with Tommy and Tubbo...
