Kent's men drag Ellie and Nick into one of the basement rooms where Kent abuses the girls. He wants his men to handcuff them to two chairs, but Ellie and Nick just awake and fight back. Kent's men react quickly: They knock Nick out and twist Ellie's left arm on her back until her shoulder is dislocated. Ellie screams in pain and Kent's men break her arm. Ellie almost faints from the pain. Kent's men drag Ellie and Nick to the chairs and tie them up. Kent fetches two buckets of ice-cold water and dumps one of them in Nick's face. He regains consciousness and Kent dumps the second bucket in Ellie's face. Both look at him with pain in their eyes. Kent smiles. "I know all about you, but you deny it. So we're going to take harder measures", says Kent. "If you know everything, why don't you kill us?", asks Ellie. Kent walks up to her and grabs her by the neck. "Why don't I kill you? Because I enjoy torturing you. And because I don't know everything I want to know yet. So tell me quickly, and your pain goes away. If you keep silent, the pain will get worse", Kent answers and pushes her back. Ellie and Nick remain silent. "Give me the Taser!", commands Kent. One of his men gives in to him. Kent walks towards Ellie with the Taser, points the Taser at her right arm and presses. An electric shock hits her arm and she nearly faints. "Your girlfriend is pretty damn weak," Kent says to Nick, thinking that Ellie is unconscious. He hits her in the face again and then goes to Nick. He hits him in the face as well, then leaves the room. Five minutes later he comes back from his office with a baseball bat. He swings and hits it in the chest of Ellie. Then he goes up to Nick and kicks him in the chest. He falls over and hits his head on the floor. Nick passes out.

Ellie hears Nick moan, then something hard hits her in the chest. Shortly afterwards she hears Nick falling down beside her. She hears Kent say something: "Bring... ...room... ...good... ...Kim... ...mole... NCIS... Chips in arm... shackle... Kim... perfect girlfriend..." She feels a small incision made in her right forearm and something stuck in it. She also feels Kent's men taping her legs and hands together. She senses that the men are doing the same thing to Nick. Then her legs are lifted and she is dragged into another room. It's a long walk, so Ellie suspects that Kent is taking her into the other building. He locks the door to the room and they're alone. It takes what feels like an eternity for Nick to regain consciousness. He sits up. "Ellie," she hears him call out. She wants to answer, but has no strength. Nick continues talking: "Ellie... ...with me!... Love you... Rest of my life... ...together..." Ellie tries to smile and passes out.
