Your heart pounded. Sweat poured from your face as your fingers gripped the metal fence. You climbed up it quick,not stopping to look back. When you jumped down onto the dirt ground you could hear Winter just ahead of you. "No fair!" You yelled out to her,trying to catch your breath. Winter turned her flashlight towards you and laughed. "You gotta be quick when sneaking onto private property." You stuck your tongue out at her and followed behind. When you got to a large building,Winter began digging into her bag. Her brunette hair fell over her face as she bent down. You smiled as you watched the eager girl. She pulled out two cans of spray paint,tossing one to you. "This will teach these animal testing pricks." She started spray painting graffiti all over the outside walls and windows. You joined her spray painting what she said would work best. The two of you were so in the middle of having so much fun that you didn't notice the security officer. "Hey!" You both jumped,quickly looking at the heavy set man as he shined his light towards the two of you. "Shit," Winter gasped as she tossed her spray paint into her bag "We gotta go." Winter snatched the spray paint from your hand and threw it into the bag before taking off. You quickly followed behind. Your heart was now thumping with fear as you could hear the sound of someone chasing straight after you. You watched the brunette in front of you move quick. You tried to catch up with her but you were paying so much attention to her that you didn't even watch your feet. You soon tripped over a branch. You tumbled onto the ground. The bag of spray paint in your hand busted open, surrounding you with spray paint bottles. You could feel your ankle throb. You could tell by the pain shooting up your leg that it was definitely sprained and you couldn't get up and run by yourself. "Winter!" You screamed holding back the tears as you tried to stand up. The young teen stopped in her tracks and turned around. Winter began to run back towards you but when a flashlight glared at her and the security officer yanked you up from the ground,she turned and began to run again. She left you. Your heart sank in sadness but the pain you felt quickly took over. Needless to say you had spent the night in a jail cell. You waited up all night for your parents to bail you out but the only thing you could think of was your best friend leaving you to face the consequences all alone. You felt a mix of emotions. Anger being the main one. Because of getting caught up,you were grounded. Though you were so upset with winter you probably wouldn't have went anywhere if you wanted to. You ignored the many texts and calls that winter left you. It had been a week almost two and you avoided all communication with the girl. It was late in the night and you found yourself awake trying to catch up on some homework. You heard tapping on your window like someone was throwing something against it. Confused, you rolled your office chair towards the window. Being careful not to hit your still sore ankle on anything. You opened the window and looked out. Standing on your lawn with a hand full of pebbles was winter. She smiled up at you and waved. Oblivious to the hurt that you had felt since the night you were arrested. "There you are!" Winter sounded excited as she waved at you. "Go away." Winters smile faded as you went to close the window. The only thing on your mind was to close it and shut the curtains. "Wait!" You looked down at her with annoyance. "Look,I'm sorry I left you but I got so nervous that I wasn't even thinking.'' You rolled your eyes "You're my best friend and what I did was wrong. And I apologize." You let out a sigh "I got in trouble for everything even graffiti's you did alone. You couldn't even come to my court date and confess to help me out. You let me be the scape goat." Winter watched as you talked "You hurt more than anyone ever has and it's going to take time before I can get over something like this." The brunette nodded with sadness. She took off her grey beanie and looked as though she was fighting back some tears of regret. "I understand I guess I'll see you around then." She turned on her heels and began to walk away. You watched her walk for a little bit before calling out to her. ''you're still my best friend though and maybe we can talk about this some more tomorrow. Winter turned around in confusion ''i get ungrounded tomorrow. We should go to the movies like we use to always do." You both smiled at each other "I'll see you tomorrow at 6?" You asked with a smile. Winter smiled back before speaking up "I'll be here at 6."
A/n God this sucked but I haven't updated in so long because I've been dealing with personal stuff but request are always open and every request that I've gotten will be done and uploaded soon. I'm sorry for the wait and thank you for the support. This chapter is pretty bad so please ignore it I just wanted to make a update that wasn't just a authors note.
