Hey guys :) I just wanted to say that you're all so amazing and I really appreciate you guys reading my story, it makes me really happy to write something people enjoy. I've struggled a lot this year with, well, just in general I guess, lol. I got so lost that I forgot how much writing makes me happy. So, (fr this time) I am going to try to update weekly if I can. I'll set a reminder on my phone even lol. But this is something I really enjoy and I know other people really like reading and I want to be happy and make other people happy :). Any whooooo, enough of the sappy stuff, let's get to the story, and again, thank you lovelies <3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Deku started his walk to school, he thought about the events of this morning. He felt bad for acting that way towards his mom but, the thought of him laying all of the things that he was struggling with on his mother made him feel like he was a burden. His mom was a single mother raising a teenage boy and trying her best to take care of herself and provide a roof over their heads, he didn't want to lay any more problems on her. He also knew that if he told his mother about what happened that she would never stop worrying about him. So, he decided that he would save it for his best friends-

"Hey, Deku!"

Deku whipped his head around to see none other than one of his best friends, Uraraka. Speak of the devil...

"Hey, urar-"

Deku mumbled but was cut off by uraraka when she noticed that he looked like he was a part of the walking dead.

Uraraka: "Woah! you look rough, what happened?"

Uraraka asked genuinely concerned but still trying to make light of the situation.

Deku's head: everyone seems to have the same damn reaction huh.

Unable to hold it in anymore, Deku fell into his best friend's arms. He started sobbing uncontrollably. He couldn't help it; even if he wanted to, the tears just wouldn't stop. Uraraka, wanting to ask what happened, knew that this just wasn't the time. So, she just let him cry until he was able to calm down a little and catch his breath.

Uraraka: "Have you calmed down a little now?"

Deku, still sniffling, shook his head yes and took some deep breaths.

Uraraka: "Alright, then"

Uraraka looked at her watch and realized that they were going to be late for school. She knew how important school was to Deku but, she also knew that if he showed up to school in the state he was in, that he would just be sent home anyway and would cause a bunch of questions to arise that Deku wouldn't be able to handle.

Uraraka: "Hey, I have an idea, how about we skip school today ok? I asked Mr. Aizawa and we don't even have hero training today... so what do you say?"

She was lying, she knew they had hero training but, there was no way Deku would agree to it otherwise.

Uraraka's head: Sorry, Deku.

Deku looked at Uraraka and gradually shook his head yes. There was no hero training and he really didn't have the energy for school, so he saw no harm in taking a break from school for the day.

Uraraka: "Ok, hmm... how about we go look at shops and get something to eat hmm?"

She helped Deku up off the ground and he gave a little sniffle as he slowly got up. Deku's stomach started to growl and he remembered how he skipped breakfast when he left this morning. Uraraka gave out a small snicker.

Uraraka: "How about we get some food first and on the way there, you can tell me what happened ok?"

Blushing out of embarrassment, Deku gave in.

"Ok, let's go :)"
