as addelaine walked through the hall all her excitement left her body and was filled with anxiousness. on the gryffindor table she saw her brothers waving and cheering like maniacs. she went bright red and ignore them as best she could. she walked up to the front on the hall awaiting her name.

"nott, theodore"

"malfoy, draco"

"granger, hermione"

"potter, harry"

she was fidgeting with the hem of her skirt as her brother name was yelled

"weasley, ronald"

ron nervously walked up to the stool and sat down. he stayed still acting as if it would crack if he moved. ron awaited the house to be called ignoring all the gibbering and jabbering the hat was doing about his skills and traits.

"gryffindor" ron let out of a sigh of releife only to be consumed with it once more when his twins name was called

"weasley, addealaine" addealaine nervously walked over to the stool her brother had just sat on and waited nervously hanging onto every word it said unlike her brother.

"ahh what a smart girl you are, Ravenclaw would be lucky to have you very brainy but what is this i see a thirst to prove yourself. first Weasley girl in generations but still feels outshone by her brothers well can't have that can we Slytherin would shape you up nicely, you have great leadership skills as-well. Hufflepuff? no not Hufflepuff to witty. this bravery wow almost overwhelming just to read. Slytherin or Gryffindor hard choice. really hard. well we wouldn't want to ruin tradition now would we. i think i've made up my mind although i have to say you'd properly be more of a Slytherin then some of the others i've place tonight but it'll have to be...

"GRYFFINDOR"

the gryffindor table roared with cheers and yells

"that's our sister"

"we got the weaslette"

"reccon she'll be the other smart weasley or the one like the twins"

"3 whole minutes to choose her house must have had good options"

addelaine walked back to the table after being sorted and got clapped on the back about 90 times she thought it was broken. harry potter sat opposite the girl smirking at her while she was narrowing her eyes at him thinking she could at least try to read him mind

"your in Gryffindor"

"no i'm in Hufflepuff i just like wearing red and sitting with the gryffindors. of course in in Gryffindor"

"do you know what this means"

"that ill be wearing a red tie"

"no silly, that you and me are that much closer to being friends"

"i wouldn't bet on it"

harry turned back to the conversation with Percy about teachers while addelaine was talking to Hermione about classes while the rest of the houses get sorted. the sorting finished and dumbledore stood up.

"Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber!"

addealaine furrowed her eyebrows at this loony man who would be teaching her for 7 years, that's if he doesn't die he's about one hex from death by the looks of his beard, she clapped politely like everyone else and as soon as the food arrived she reached for the salad. she put pieces of chicken on her plate and some seasoned lettuce and tomatoes as well as other veggies. addealaine looked around to see her brother eating like a horse
