it was their usual thursday night date. only this one wasn't going to go as planned.
actually quite the opposite of how it usually went..

it started off like any other.
today it was a picnic under the stars.
supposedly it was supposed to be an extra starry night in salt lake.

"and, we're here"
he said as he took off her blindfold.
she looked around at the picnic and squealed.
"ahhh! this is so pretty, thank you icky" she smiled kissing his cheek.
which made him smile.
they sat down and started talking and eating.

the night was going smoothly.
almost too good to be true.
and it was.
ricky sat up facing the brunette more.
he held her hands, "nini, i have to tell you something"
this made her stomach go upside down.
"ok?" she said trying to act natural.
"i lo-"
"don't say love" she said knowing the exact words that would come out of his mouth next.
"what?" was all he could get out as he was frozen in place.
"please" she mumbled looking at him with such a sad face. her eyes where watered and it looked like someone just ripped her heart out.
next thing you know tears are falling from her eyes.
