"Hey, Mia!" Neo shouted from downstairs.

I was in the process of getting ready for work. And I was late... again. "Yeah?" I called back.

"Can you come down here?"

I groaned, rushing to pull on my shoes. I grabbed my coat and bag and rushed down the stairs. "Have you seen my keys?" I asked, seeing Neo in the living room. He looked upset. "What's wrong?" I glanced over to the door only to find Javi standing there with Colton.

"Someone's here to see you," Neo answered with a frown.

Colton had a shy smile on his face despite the bruises and blood on his clothes. He was holding a towel to his lip but it was covered in blood. "Hey," he mumbled sheepishly.

I sighed. "You need to get to a hospital, Colton," I told him, glancing around the house for my car keys.

He rushed forward, grabbing my wrist. "Please, Mia, I know you can help me," he begged.

"You need a hospital, not me," I answered.

"Mia, please," He was staring right at me desperately.

I sighed again. "Fine. Neo, I need towels and a bowl of warm water. And the first aid,"

He nodded, disappearing down the hall while I went to go wash my hands.

"Sit," I told Colton, gesturing to the couch as Neo returned with the supplies.

Colton and Javi sat together, hand in hand.

I doused one of the towels in the warm water as Neo frowned at his phone in concern.

"Everything alright?" I asked.

"Felix needs my help," he answered hesitantly, glancing between Colton and me.

I wrung out the towel. "So go. We'll be fine,"

"But I don't want to leave you alone at work," he explained worriedly.

"I'll be fine, Neo, go," Ever since Alan had visited the cafe, Neo had refused to let me go alone. Even though I'd told him Alan and I were working on becoming friends again, he still insisted on making sure they were keeping their promise to stay away.

Neo groaned in uncertainty before he eventually nodded. "Alright," he finally replied. "But I'll meet you there later tonight. Keys are in your jacket pocket," He bent down and kissed my cheek before shooting a warning glare at Colton, grabbing his coat, and rushing out the door.

I turned my attention back to Colton, cleaning the blood smeared on his chin. "Do I even want to know what happened?" I mused.

"Probably not," He shrugged, a grin toying at his lips.

"I'll need to stitch it, is that alright?" I asked. "Or would you like me to drive you-"

"Just do it," Colton interrupted, but then immediately flushed red. "If you don't mind," he added.

I nodded. "Why don't you lie down?" I suggested, helping him lie back against a pillow.

His eyes were full of worry as he stared at the needle I was threading. "Have you done this before?"

"All the time," I answered. "It'll be alright," I reached forward and he caught my wrist, gripping it tightly to stop me.

"Just... just wait a second, yeah?" His hand was trembling.

I smiled gently. "Of course," I brushed a mop of sweaty hair off his forehead, checking out his other injuries. They didn't look too bad, just a couple of minor scrapes and bruises.
