As soon as Severus got to his classroom he slammed the door shut and leaned against it., feelings started coming up, feelings he couldn't explain, feelings he hadn't felt in a long time.

"You need to distance yourself from this Y/n girl, she will only cause you trouble and you don't need it, you have enough trouble to deal with, since the Potter boy has come to Hogwarts"., Severus let out a loud, frustrated sigh and started walking over to his desk to prepare for the first class.

Chattering filled the room as the students started to flood in to the Charms classroom. They took their seats., "good morning, okay everyone could you get out your textbooks please and turn to page 145".

Once everyone got out their things out and turned to the correct page you stood up, picked up your wand and walked to the middle of the room. "okay, so one of a wizard's most rudimentary skills is levitation or the ability to make objects fly. Now do you all have your feathers?".

A young girl in the front row held hers up with a little smile and you smiled back., "very good, now don't forget the wrist movements"., you held up your arm and pointed your wand straight down the middle, making sure not to point it at any objects, you started to do the wrist movement.

"Swish and flick, okay everyone, now you try"., the students picked up their wands and repeated Y/n's words., "swish and flick"., they all put their wands down and paid attention to you again, waiting for you to say something.

"Okay now please listen and take down notes with the information I'm about to tell you"., you waited patiently for the students to pick up their quills and you began to speak: "Regardless of its strengths, the Levitation Charm has one fatal flaw:

It does not work on human beings, a human can be levitated using this charm, it is actually the clothing on their bodies that is being charmed. The charm is not strong enough to let a human do anything more then float a few feet off the ground using this technique.

Almost everything can be lifted with this spell, although the object has levitated it all depends on the skill of the caster and the weight of the object., "okay now everyone pick up your wands and make sure to enunciate the incantation, Wingardium Leviosa...well off you go then".

The class once again picked up their wands and started to say the incantation, repeatedly., she began to walk up the isle., "make sure you are loud and clear class, it will not work otherwise...that's good class, keep the good work!".

A few moments later you looked up and saw feather levitating in the air., you clasped her hands together and watched, proudly., "oh, well done! You see everyone, Miss Granger has done it! Oh, splendid! Well done, dear!".

"Thankyou Profes-"., A big bang erupted, interrupted Miss Granger's sentence., you looked over to see a shocked Harry Potter and Seamus Finnigan with a black face along with a singed feather., "Mr Potter, Mr Finnigan what has happened?".

Harry looked at you, still shocked, and looked back at the feather., "I'm not sure but I think we're going to need another feather over here, Professor"., "oh, yes of course. Mr Finnigan, why don't you go and wash up, you will have another feather when you return".

He nodded, still in a bit shock., he got up and started walking out of the classroom., you conjured up another feather., "okay everyone, continue with the levitation charm, I'll be at my desk, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me".

The noise in the room continued and Y/n sat down at her desk, picking up her quill and started writing notes down for her next class, fourth years.

The bell went, signalling that the first lesson is over., the students picked up their belongings, packed them away and started chatting as they made their way out of the classroom, heading to their next class., "good progress everyone, make sure to work on your wrist movements and enjoy your next lesson".
