The Weekend

Severus walked out in his new clothes and put the black trench coat on and you smiled at him., "do you think I look okay?"., "very handsome"., you smirked while standing on your tippy toes and kissed his cheek., "I must say you look absolutely adorable".

You were wearing a flowery shirt, a burgundy shirt and a white cardigan., you blushed and smiled., "thankyou. are you ready to go, Sev?"., "yeah, let's go, love".

You and Severus arrived in the Muggle World, you pulled out your Muggle money and Severus pulled out the contact information., "there's a number on here, Y/n. We need a phone to use"., you looked around, clicking your tongue.

"Oh! Over there, there's a breakfast diner. I can ask if they have a phone"., Severus held your hand as the both of you started walking across the road on the crosswalk, along with other people., "so Sev, what names were you thinking?".

"I was thinking about Beau or if it's a girl, Gracie. What about you?"., "well I have a few in mind. The boy names: Ollie, Felix and Poe. For the girl names: Clementine, Sadie and Violet". The both of you walked into the breakfast diner and Severus looked around.

He felt self conscious, like he was out of place there., "can I wait outside, Y/n?"., "hmm?"., he let go of your hand and you looked at Severus, seeing him starting doing up the buttons on the trench coat., it pained your heart to see him self conscious.

"Sev, come with me for a moment"., you grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the diner, Severus sighed in relief as he got out of there., he continued with the buttons, you looked back at him and sighed in sadness, stopping him by putting your hand on his.

He looked up at you, you stood on your tippy toes and gave him a big hug, running your fingers through his hair., his eyes started tearing up as he reciprocated your hug., "Sev, you have nothing to worry about. I think you look great".

He pulled away from the hug and looked at you with an immense amount of uncertainty., "I love you, all of you. You should too"., you smiled sweetly at him and tears brimmed his eyes., you are so pure and his heart absolutely melted seeing how sincere you were.

You pressed your lips against his and gently caressed his face, putting all the love you could muster into it., "I love you, Sev"., a tears streamed down his cheeks as he smiled., "I love you too"., you lingered for a few moments as you pecked his forehead.

"Come on, let's go back inside"., he nodded, reluctantly and held your hand, running his thumb over your the top of your hand to calm himself down. You both walked back into the diner and walked up to the counter, getting the attention of the middle aged man behind it.

"Excuse me, sir?"., "yes, my dear"., Severus held onto your hand tighter as you continued to speak: "do you have a phone I could use?"., the man pointed to the other side of the store., "yes, it's in the back just over..you know what, I'll just show you".

"I think we can find it ourselves"., Severus said, shooting daggers at him., he pulled you in the directions he pointed and sure enough there was the phone, hanging on the wall. Severus pulled the contact information out of his pocket and you walked over to the phone.

"Sev, can you read it out to me, please"., "0, 7, 9, 1, 1, 1, 2, 0,4, 5, 8"., you lifted the phone to your ear. "Hello?"., "Uh, hello. Minerva gave me your contact information to-"., "oh yes, she told me about you. What's your name, hon?".

"Y/n, Y/n L/n"., the lady on the other end of the phone gasped., "Y/n, it's Anna!"., you gasped in excitement., "Anna! Oh my gosh, hi, how are you?!"., "I'm well, listen you know our address, come over and we can have a cup of tea, August will be most pleased to see you".

"I'll be happy to see him too, okay I'll see you both soon"., you hung up the phone and Severus tilted his head slightly., "excited to see who?"., "the people who own the kittens are August and Anna, let's go, let's go"., you said excitedly.

As soon as you turned around you grabbed Severus' hand and started pulling him out of the diner., "thankyou, sir"., you're welcome, my dear". As soon as the both of you got outside you started speaking: "their apartment is about five minutes down the road".

You's got into the lobby of their apartment and there was August with a few bags of groceries., "August!"., he turned around and smiled as soon as he saw you., "Y/n!"., he put down the groceries you let go of Severus' hand ran up and gave him a hug.

"August, this is my boyfriend, Severus. Here let me help you with those"., he had three bags, you took one and held another out for Severus to take., "Sev, can you hold this one?"., he took it from your hand and the three of you started heading over to the elevator.

August turned to you and gave you the grocery bag and got his key out of floor, opening the front door., "darling, I'm home!"., Anna came out of their room., "hon, guess what, Y/n-"., she gasped when she saw you., "Y/n! It's so good to see you!".

She ran up to you and gave you a hug., "here let me take this"., she took the bag off of you and saw Severus holding one., he took it of him and shot him a friendly smile., "Minerva mentioned you too, I'm Anna and...If I'm not mistaken your name is Severus?".

He nodded., "nice to meet you"., August put the last bag on the bench and as Anna started to put everything away, August motioned the both of you to follow him to a room. He opened the door and you gasped in excitement as you saw the adorable kittens.

Severus smiled at your excitement and you leaned down to pat them., "hi, cuties. Sev come see them"., he leaned down and started to pat them., "hello, little one's"., he picked one up and held it to his chest as he patted its head., you put one on your lap and smiled, looking at Severus as he cuddled the kitten.

It looks like that's the one we're getting

You turned your attention to August and he seemed to know what you were thinking., August nodded., "the one that Severus is holding is a boy"., "how much is he?"., you sad, reaching for your purse and grabbing your wallet., August scoffed and shook his head.

"You're my friend, I'm not making you pay for it"., you looked up at him and smiled., "thankyou"., "anyway, come, come. Let us have a cup of tea"., Severus was a million miles away, he didn't hear anything August said.

You put your hand on his shoulder and he looked up at you., "come on, Sev, we're going to have a cup of tea. Bring him with you, we're getting that one"., "oh, okay. Uh, him?"., "yeah, August said he is a boy"., "oh, I'm sorry, I uh...wasn't listening".

You chuckled softly and smiled reassuringly., "it's fine". Severus sat on sofa, beside you and put the kitten on his lap., "love, now that we know it's a boy, what are we going to name him?"., you tapped your fingers on your thigh, clicking your tongue.

"What about the one that you suggested, Beau"., he smiled and nodded, continuing to pat him., "hello, Beau"., you looked at Severus and your heart melted seeing how gently he was., you leaned towards him and pressed your lips against his cheek.

He finally turned his attention from the kitten to you and smiled., "so Severus what do you do for work?"., his eyes widened and he looked at you.

Think of something, Severus. Think of something, anything

"He's a professor at the University of London, he teaches Chemistry. He is one of the most talented people there if I say so myself". Severus nodded and smiled at you as he agreed and went on with your story.

As time went on, it was almost dark and they of course had to get back to Hogwarts., "well we best be getting back home"., Severus said getting up carefully with the kitten in his hands. Anna wet off to get the supplies for the kitten., "do you two live together?"., "no we don't,

but she basically does"., Severus continued the conversation., "she stays with me majority of the time"., he said, smiling at you.,  Anna past you a bag of cat food and put the cat cage on the sofa., "okay, Severus, can you past me the kitten".

Severus huffed and past Beau over to Anna., "okay, thankyou again, August and Anna"., Anna smiled and hugged you., "you're very welcome"., Severus shook both their hands and picked up the cat cage, looking in the cage and smiling at Beau.
