The bell went signalling the last class of the day was finished and Severus was extremely relieved. "Your essays on lacewing flies are due tomorrow, do not...be late"., as the class started packing away their things, Severus sat back in his chair, excited for his first date with you.

As soon as the last student left the classroom, he got up and got his wand out of his sleeve., with a flick of his wand the door slammed shut and he started to briskly walk to his quarters to get ready for the date.

He walked into his room, shut the door and started making his way to his cabinet., he stood there for a moment, thinking what he could wear. He took off his cloak and after a few moments he decided he wasn't going to change and maybe just wear an accessory.

He grabbed out a black scarf and tied it loosely around his neck, he closed the cabinet door and walked into the bathroom to see what he looked like. He looked into the mirror and sighed., "this is as good as it's going to get I suppose"., he tapped his fingers on the bench and smoothed down his hair and started to freshen himself up to look more presentable for you.

You put your hair up in your favourite h/s and smoothed down your clothes., a sudden knock on the door startled you and you jumped a little., "come in"., the door opened and Severus came through., "hello, Y/n"., you turned around and smiled., "hello, Severus".

His heart leaped out of his chest, seeing your smile, it made his heart happy., "are you ready to go?"., she grabbed her wand put it in her side and nodded., "okay, I'm ready"., he smiled and nodded., "okay, let's go"., the both of you walked out of your quarters and started walking in comfortable silence.

He held his arm just above his waist., "if you want to get there fast, I suggest apparating, it would be much quicker"., you sighed quietly and reluctantly put your hand on his arm, disappearing almost instantly. You's arrived in Hogsmeade a few seconds later and you were surprised, you didn't feel queasy at all.

Without realising you kept your hand on his arm, Severus looked at your arm and looked you, he saw your surprised expression and he looked at you confused., "what's the matter, Y/n?"., "oh, nothing, it's just whenever I apparate I usually feel sick but I feel absolutely fine this time, I guess I just got over it".

As the two of you continued to talk, two individuals a few metres away from the both of you spotted you and started watching and your interactions with Severus. The two of you walked into Three Broomsticks and were greeted by Madam Rosmerta.

"Hello Severus!"., he gave her a curt nod., "good afternoon, Madam Rosmerta"., "who is your lovely lady?"., the both of you blushed and Severus looked down., "Y/n L/n, ma'am, nice to meet you"., she smiled politely at you., "it is a pleasure to meet you too, dear. Okay go and take your seats and myself or someone else will be with you shortly".

"Where do you want to sit, Y/n?"., you looked around the room, looking at the table's all around the room before you looked up at him., "what about that one in the corner?"., he leaned his head down and started admiring your beautiful features.

He brought his hand up and cupped your face and ran his thumb across your soft skin., you smiled at each other and after a few moments you both snapped out of it and you looked at the ground and fiddled with your fingers. He saw your nervousness so he stepped back, held his arm out, smirked and motioned you to go first., "shall we, Miss Y/n?".

He read your thoughts and smirked again., "thankyou, sir"., you walked in front of him and he followed close behind you to make sure nobody approaches you. You took your seats and Madam Rosmerta approached the table and handed you menus., "here are the menus, dears, I'll be back in a few minutes to take your orders".

You both sat in comfortable silence as you's looked over the menu., "what are you thinking of getting, Y/n?"., "a hot chocolate and a treacle tart, what about you?"., "uh...a treacle tart and...he cleared his throat and continued: I'll just get the same of you".

A few moments later she came back over with a notepad and a quill., "so what can I get the lovely couple today?"., a steady blush ran across your faces, he put his menu down and you hid your face with yours., "uh, two hot chocolates and two treacle tarts"., "of course, pass me over your menus and I'll be back shortly".

You passed over the menu and Severus looked at you and smiled at how adorable you were., Madam Rosmerta walked away, Severus rested his hands on the table., "tell me about yourself"., "well, I love to read, I read almost everyday, I really love music as well as singing, drawing, I'm a book collecter, I collect old books as well as newer ones, I also collect video games, I love films and I'm a really good cook".

A confused look crept it's way on Severus' face and he tilted his head slightly., "what are fil-"., Severus' question was interrupted by the two individuals that were looking at the both of you before., "hello dear!".,"hello pumpkin!"., you immediately recognised the voices and you were terrified.

You masked it, looked up and forced a smile., "good afternoon, mother, father"., "who is this, pumpkin?"., you clenched your jaw, you hated the pet name and these two with a passion and you could tell they hated you as well, just putting on a show for public so they don't show themselves for what they really are, psychopaths.

"Severus, this is Gabriel and Violet L/n my...parents"., Severus smiled politely and nodded., "good afternoon, Mr and Mrs L/n"., they said hello to him and looked at you with a disapproving look and it made you despise them more., the way they've treated you over the years, they have no right to say anything.

"I would love to chat more, dear but me and your father have some business to attend to, we will see you soon"., you forced another smile and waved., "goodbye mother, goodbye father"., as soon as they left you let out a sigh of relief. Severus noticed your distress and it upset him.

"Are you okay, Y/n?"., "yeah it's just that I'm not really that close with my parents"., he sighed and nodded., "yeah, I wasn't that close with my parents either"., you heard the sadness in his voice and looked up at him and saw him looking at his fingers and fiddling with them.

"Do you want to talk about it?"., he looked at you, let out another sigh and shook his head., you were about to say something else but Madam Rosmerta came over., "here you are, my dears, I'll bring over your treacle tarts in just a moment"., she placed down the two cups of hot chocolate and walked off to get the treacle tarts.

"So Severus, tell me about you?"., he ran his index finger on the brim of the cup and sighed., "well as you've probably noticed I enjoy reading, I also love music, mostly jazz, I like dancing, I also do enjoy like plants but I'm not the best at gardening".

Madam Rosmerta placed to plates in front of the both of you, clasped her hands together and smiled., "here you are, enjoy my dears"., you both took a bite of your treacle tarts.

6pm

You's walked out of Three Broomsticks and you immediately started shivering., Severus noticed it and thought for a moment, deciding if he should hug you., he bit the inside of his cheek., "Y/n"., you looked up at him and he gently pulled you towards him and wrapped his arms around you.

You were immediately were warmed and comforted having him so close., you stood on your tippy toes, wrapped your arms around his neck and rested your head against his chest., tears brimmed his eyes, he closed them, a small smile appeared on his face and held you tighter, it's the first time he's hugged someone in years and he loved the feeling.

You looked up at him and leaned his head down and captured your lips with his for a tender kiss., he moved his arms from your body, cupped your face and you rested your hands on his chest. After a few moments he pulled his lips away from yours and looked in your eyes.

He was falling for you more and it scared him., he stepped back from you and cleared his throat., "we should get back to the castle"., you nodded and he held his arm just above his waist, ready to apparate back to the front of Hogwarts.
