The Wish & The Winter Guardian

Nintara was a Winter Guardian in the magical school of Enchantix high. For obvious reasons, She had the ability to manipulate ice and snow! But one day, visited the Dark Dorm... and nobody knew why or what went on there that changed Nintara's life. Until today...

As summer drew closer and closer, that bright warm sunlight on the melting snow was refreshing as Nintara was wandering her favourite campus. She noticed in the shadows and the blindspots of the sun, the Dark Dorm. It always found a way to be scary, even in the sun. 
She decided to enter and pay a visit to one of her best friends, Ava. And even hoped to see an old frienemy, Emma... The supposed princess of Darkness.

The pitch-black doors lined perfectly with its dark purple trim and the dark blue doorknob, waiting for entrance. The doorbell also was a navy blue, and Nintara's hand went straight to it, pressing it down smoothly. The doorbell rang and a familiar face was shown answering the door. It was Ava! The friendly neighbourhood genie!
''Hi, Nini!'' Ava said as she giggled. ''Hey, Ava! How are you today?'' Nintara inquired as she smiled at her friend's nickname for her. ''I've been great! Well...'' Ava looked off to the side, not finishing her sentence. ''Well? What's going on?'' Nintara asked, concerned. ''Well, The Dark Princess has... changed... She's being really suspicious lately but I can't do anything since I'm just a simple genie, making other peoples wishes come true!'' Ava ranted as she looked extremely stressed. ''Hm, Let me talk to her!'' Nintara exclaimed, letting herself in. ''Oh, you shouldn't! If she deems that your getting in her way, She could wish for me to vanish you to oblivion!'' Ava caught up to the seemingly determined Nintara, as Nintara continued to the basement, which she just knew where Emma would be. 

''Ohoho, It's been a while, Nini~'' Emma turned around as she noticed Nintara coming down the basement stairs, followed by a worried Ava. ''Hey Em~ I hear you've turned to the even darker side. What are you planning now?'' Nintara overexaggerated, as Emma laughed and said ''Haha, Oh please! As if I'd let you in on my genius plan!''. ''Well, I say you've done some interior decorating. Making the old basement into a dungeon on one side, laboratory on the other... Hey, that a new look?'' Nintara questioned as she looked around and noticed the mannequin with a fully black outfit, radiating shadows and a crown radiating the ruby blood-red jewels on the tips.
''Well, being the Princess of Darkness in this world... May as well experiment~ And what have you been up to? Building snowmen and making snow angels?'' Emma mocked, as she couldn't help but laugh. ''When did you come up with that genius line? In detention? Please. Emma, you and I both know that being a Winter Guardian is a lot harder than it looks.'' Nintara sassily replied. ''Ohoho, Well then, if you're SO good at your job...'' Emma trailed as she flicked her wrist and a shadowy figure came dashing at Nintara. ''And it's more powerful than I usually make it look,'' Nintara added to her previous statement as Emma's demons were eradicated by a simple clap of Nintara's hands, which transformed the shadows into snow. ''Impressive...'' Emma hitched under her breath as she walked out of the dorm and into the courtyard, followed by Nintara and then Ava. 

''If you want someone to be impressed, You've come to the wrong person. I've studied your antics, my dear Nini-san~'' Emma mocked, making Nintara's blood boil. ''Oh, I'll show you what impressive actually looks like, Emmy,'' Nintara replied as she summoned a large ice giant, and flutters of snow arrows, ready to attack. ''Oh please, I've seen better,'' Emma responded to Nintara's preparation by summoning a demon of her own. Ava was stuck in the middle, forced to watch two of her closest friends attack each other, but she wouldn't let that happen. ''Guys! We can find another way to solve this! Agh, Why do you have to kill each other every time you get in an argument!!!'' Ava exclaimed, even more, stressed than before. 

''Cmon, Ice Queen! Snow does what snow does best. Snow will just have to fall.'' Emma directed towards Nintara as their giants and demons fought. Emma then looked at Ava and commanded, ''Ava! I wish you'd fight by my side and help me win.'' Both Nintara and Ava's eyes were widened in shock as Emma used Ava's abilities to her advantage. ''Uh... Your wish is my command... I'm so sorry Nintara!'' Ava regretted her actions straight away, but as a genie, She had no choice but to obey. ''Two against one, Nini~ The odds don't look very promising for you...Might wanna back out now before you embarrass yourself.'' Emma joked, hoping that she wouldn't have to fight. She secretly hoped Nintara would back out just because Emma didn't want to hurt her. Nintara hung her head in defeat, but only for a second as she looked straight back up laughing, and said ''I like those odds... Emmy, You should know more than anyone that I hate games that are guaranteed for me to win or lose~''. Emma was shocked, as Ava said with a smirk, ''Guess you forgot that little tiny detail!'' ''Shut up,'' Emma said to Ava as she kept getting demons to attack Nintara and Nintara kept getting a variety of different icey monsters and snowy weapons to attack back, Along with Ava's magic. 

Suddenly, Nintara had an idea. ''Ava! I wish that you'd never have to answer to Emma's wishes ever again, therefore breaking her current wish!'' Nintara smiled as Ava's face lit up in excitement. ''Wha- You can't do that!'' Emma squealed like a brat as she was losing more and more. ''Oh, Can't I? Cause I believe I just did~'' Nintara replied with the cheekiest smirk known to magic. ''Your wish is my command, Nini!'' Ava clapped her hands and ran over to Nintara, not fighting by her side but supporting her. ''Nintara...'' Emma floated to the ground as she fell on her knee's, looking surprised. She hung her head and realised the power she had just lost. The power she had just lost to her ex, no less! 

''What's wrong, Hunny?~'' Nintara teased as she had just beaten Emma for the first time in ages. Emma was speechless. All she could do was move and breath. Nintara shrugged her behaviour off as she and Ava went to Emma's lab and found her plans... her plans... Were to rebuild the broken parts of the school?! ''What the... Did you know about this, Ava?'' Nintara questioned, her mind filled with doubt and confusion. ''No! Come to think of it, I never knew what she was actually doing. All I knew was that she kept wishing for more and more materials and of course, the new outfits here and there.'' Ava answered. Nintara put the pieces together in her head as she finally realised... The broken part of the school was where their last fight took place. Neither won and it drew to a tie as they exploded half the school, which had almost hit the nursery. The biggest surprise was not just the kind act from Emma, but the actual area they fought in had plans and decorations, for improving. It was the place they used to go on for dates... This time, Nintara was the one speechless.

''If I knew, I'd have told you... Sorry, Nini...'' Ava added as she decided to give Nitara some time to process what the supposed evil princess was actually going to do. That's when Emma finally came down. ''So... you found my plans...'' she said, quietly. ''...You could've told me.'' Nintara finally got out as she turned around at who was once her princess. ''I could've. But I wanted it to be a surprise...'' Emma looked away, finally letting the blood run to her cheeks. She heard Nintara giggle a bit, then it formed into a laugh. Confused, Emma asked ''What's so funny?'' as Nintara stopped and replied, ''Because I thought you hated my guts. Seeing that you wanted to not only fix but renovate our old hangout... what was once our special place! I just... I always hoped there was a good bone still in you after the breakup.'' Nintara smiled, forcing the tear in her eye to stay in place and go away. Emma smiled too and started to hold in a laugh. ''I guess your right... But hey! I thought you hated me!'' ''Hated you?! Please, at the time, Id have done anything to get you back!'' Nintara exclaimed, smiling bigger and bigger. ''Hey... Wanna work on the renovations together?'' Emma asked, unsure of her idea but still hoping for a yes. ''Of course! We could get the whole Winter and Dark departments to help out!'' Nintara said as her eyes sparkled. Emma couldn't help but be mesmerised by them as Nintara couldn't help but stare back. Their gaze was interrupted as Ava came down, looking happy, ''Hey guys! Glad to see you doing good! So how about we start on this big project, hm?~'' She said, excited to both help and to see her two best friends back together, being friendly again. ''Ah, that reminds me! Hey Ava? I renounce my wish.'' Nini said with a smile as Ava simply ran upstairs, followed by the excited Emma and Nintara, ''Your wish has been renounced!!!''

{Flashback to a month before...}

It was a dark night, with storms and lightning. Nintara was just cuddling up to a pillow, holding it tight as she remembered how Emma had once held her, making her not as scared by the lighting and thunder at night. There was a knock on the Winter Dorm's door. Of course, it was Ava. Ava was a great best friend and really supported both Nintara and Emma during the rough aftermath of a breakup. ''Hey...'' Nintara said, opening the door and letting her genie friend in. ''Hi... You doing okay?''  Ava asked, sweetly. ''Yeah... Totally fine.'' Nintara said, clenching her pillow again as lightning struck and thunder clapped. ''Do you need help sleeping? I know I'm not the same as... her... But I can try!'' Ava offered, wanting to help more. ''No, it's okay... I don't want to be too much of a burden to you, Ava. You already do so much for others.'' Nintara insisted but Ava wanted to help no matter what. ''Well, I'm your friend! So... Here.'' Ava slowly moved her finger from in between Nintara's eyebrows, to the tip of her nose, moving it slowly up and down. It was honestly super calming and made Nintara fall asleep in a matter of seconds. Before drifting off, Nintara had a slip of the tongue and said ''I wish me and Emmy will be back together someday... somehow...''. And then boom. She was out like a light. ''Your wish is happily granted...'' Ava said as she smiled and couldn't wait to see how this wish played out. Ava ended up grabbing a blanket and a pillow from the couch and sleeping over in Nini's dorm room, as the night came to an end...
