Josephine let out loud cries as I patted her back soothingly while she was bawling over my shoulder. I bounced her softly as I whispered small shushes to my daughter while she continued to cry.
"Josey, I'm sorry but Daddy has to go now. He'll see you tomorrow." I sighed and turned to Chanel who was already holding our son and his bag packed for the night. "Come on baby, it's okay. You'll be spending some time with mommy and then I'll be right back."
Her cries became loud when I tried to give her to her mother. Josey has spent a lot of time with me and I guess that led to her getting really attached to her father. I loved my little girl with all my heart and as much as I didn't want to leave, I had to. It was the night before our wedding and I had to take Aurelius with me.
Chanel sighed and took Josephine in her arms before transferring Aurelius to mine. My son had been pretty quiet since he first got here. He only ever cried if he needed something.
He looked up at me with his big honey brown eyes as he sucked on the blue pacifier I had picked out for him. He had his lion stuff animal in one hand while his other tiny hand grabbed my shirt for support as he looked up. He truly was a good kid.
"I'm sorry, bambina. Your absolutely right, I shouldn't be spoiling her." I said taking the bag Chanel packed into my hands.
"Well she's only five months, It'll pass. I'm sure we'll be fine," She placed down at our daughter who had stopped crying and was completely knocked out. "See? She was just cranky. But on a serious note, please stop spoiling her."
I gulped and nodded my head at her hard tone. "I love you and I'll see you tomorrow."
She smiled and got on her tippy toes, kissing my lip softly before kissing Aurelius's head. "I love you too, I love both my boys. Now get out."
I chuckled and leaned down to kiss sleeping Josephine's head lightly. She stirred a little in her sleep before relaxing.
I hated being away from my kids. I was so used to being near them but without them around it hurt. When I was at work, I'd call every hour to check up on my family. I was always missing them.
I walked out of the house and towards the black SUV which had the rest of the boys in it. Vincent, Nico, My father, Vincent's son Leo, and Samuel were all waiting for me in the car. Once I got in, I placed my son carefully on my lap even though he kept trying to move.
Even though he's only five months, Aurelius had made a lot of development for his young age. He had started grabbing things with more strength and started attempting to crawl. He even tried to hold to spoon for himself but ending up throwing it to the ground and laughing.
He liked to talk a lot too. Ever since he could start making sounds he sure did use his incoherent vocabulary to us.
"Hey, little man," Nico cooed to Aurelius who did his grabby-hands thing. Nico took him from my lap and into his. "Here's my favorite nephew!"
