AALIYAH POV:
After getting myself cleaned up, dressed and collecting my emotions, I finally emerged from the steamy bathroom after being in there for almost two hours. "You enjoy your shower?" Demarcus asked me as I stepped out of the bathroom and into the hallway where he was just standing there, patiently waiting for me to come out.
He looked like he'd been standing in that same spot the whole time that I was in the bathroom. Weird ass. I was just glad that he wasn't crazy enough to try and come in there with me while I was showering or changing clothes.
"Yeah I did, thanks for having everything ready for me." I responded simply. He looked down at me with a surprised expression on his face. I'd been giving him and everybody else here complete hell since waking up so I could tell that he was caught off guard by my calm and laid back demeanor.
"You're welcome Li." He smirked lightly as he softly smiled at me. "You were in there for a long ass time and I got a little worried but then I remembered you always take long showers." He rambled.
"Yep." I mumbled, looking away from him and avoiding eye contact.
"How you doing? Is your ankle feeling alright?" He asked me. I could tell he was genuinely concerned but I still wasn't in the least bit phased by his emotion. This was all his fault to begin with.
"Yeah, I'm fine Marcus." I answered.
"I'm sorry all that shit happened to you. I never wanted you to get hurt. It's my fault, I shouldn't have trusted them niggas with you at all." He apologized remorsefully. It was clear that he felt guilty about what happened. "Imma deal with them personally, you got my word." He added. I didn't respond and he sighed heavily.
We walked the remainder of the way back to my room in silence. He opened the door for me and allowed me to walk in first. "I know you don't have ya phone or nothing so I had them get you a TV hooked up so you wouldn't be too bored in here by yourself." He explained.
There was now a medium sized TV mounted on the wall. The remote was on the bed along with drinks and snacks on the side table next to the bed. "It'll probably be a few hours til we leave so you can relax or whatever before our flight leaves." He said.
"Are you gonna tell me where we're going?" I asked him.
"I'll tell you once we get there." He answered, making me sigh softly as I felt myself getting irritated. "Make yourself comfortable and let me know if you need anything by pressing this button. I'll be back for you in a few hours." He instructed me as he gestured to the buzzer that was on the table.
"Thank you." I mumbled lowly, trying to keep my composure and continue playing it cool. It was my goal to make him think I was getting comfortable with him and giving up the fight so he would trust me and let his guard down. He would definitely be in for a big surprise once I got him exactly where I wanted his crazy ass.
"You're welcome." He responded as he stared down at me. His eyes lingering on me a little too long for my liking. The struggle was real trying to keep myself from looking at him with the pure disgust and hatred I was feeling so I simply picked up the remote to the TV to take my attention off of him.
I was expecting him to leave but he didn't, he just stood there looking at me. His expression looked as if he wanted to say something else but he never did. Him just standing there and staring at me was creeping me out. "What?" I asked him, no longer able to hide my irritation and disdain for him.
"I want you to be comfortable so I'm not gonna lock you up in here but please don't make me regret it by doing something stupid Li. If you need something just let me know please." He explained, sighing heavily.
