here's a poem i wrote over a year ago:) i added some bits and pieces but it's otherwise very dusty and untouched from the notes app ahaha<3<3

-----

i want

to feel the lightheaded rush

of warmth

and belonging

that comes with being

wanted

and sought out

like a constellation

that's faded

against the silky folds

of the night,

only now

being

traced and touched—

remembered.

brought back to life

by a

flickering of

hope

or by something more

tangible

like a hand

that has wove between the

curling swaths of darkness

that sever the connection

of my stars

—the ruination

of my constellation—

and has strung my scattered

celestial

fragments

together

with golden thread,

a sparkling gaze,

a scorching hand,

setting my weary

constellation

alight

before i drive myself

into the darkness

that calls to me

with shadowy arms,

before i leave this

life of mine behind

quietly

with only a semblance

of a spark

that's weaker than sunlight,

stronger than starlight—

before i'm gone
