The three other wards were gathered in Zophie's room again. At first they had been talking about other things, but their conversation eventually circled back around to the new housemate.

"D'you think he's okay?" Fable asked, "Like I know Faust said he was, but you don't just discorporate when somebody tries to talk to you for no reason."

Alto spoke up from where he was splayed across a beanbag, "Maybe he's just got stage fright. He was around the demon Varick and Bloody Mary all the time, he probably just isn't very social."

The other two murmured in concession and the room fell silent for a little bit, the only noise coming from the video game Zophie was idly playing at. Fable spoke up again.

"Did he seem... kinda sad to you guys?"

Zophie shrugged and set her controller down as her character died in-game. "Sad? Fay I was a little more focused on how his eyes looked like they wanted to bore a hole through me."

Alto frowned and lifted his head slightly, "I think Fable's right. He's probably just super nervous being in a new place, and he's a Mirror Ghost, they're usually kinda shy. And I still think his eyes are pretty. You guys are just mean."

Fable threw a pillow at his face.
