he decided to drive instead, figuring heloise would be tired from doing most of the work. besides, her phone call would distract her, and he wouldn't want for there to be an accident.
"yes jaemin, he just got randomly shot and we have no idea who the fuck did it." pause. "no we couldn't fucking inspect, if the police came they would've arrested us." pause. "that's the issue then though. i'm already a criminal, jeno's an idol and donghyuck owns half the money in the world. we can't do anything about that. just send me the next candidate."

NAME: WONG YUKHEI DOB: 25/01/1999 PROFESSION: EX-RUNNER
"i swear to god, jaemin just has no idea what a profession is." heloise grumbled as always and jeno laughed when she explained what she was talking about.
"but he looks good, not gonna lie." "you said the same about donghyuck, look at how he turned out." "what is that supposed to mean? if you ask me, i look as attractive as ever." "i didn't ask you though."
the bickering made heloise relax a little. she was still worried that they wouldn't be able to get all of their candidates, but she could calm down a little now that the fighting was more playful than anything.
the sound of heloise's soft laughter made jeno's heart flutter a little. what? he asked himself under his breath, almost as though he were scolding his stomach for doing somersaults. now wasn't the time to catch unnecessary feelings. especially towards someone who hated him.
"we're here." jeno chimed out in a singsong voice. "better not be another rundown mouldy ass building-"
donghyuck's typical complaining was cut off by a wonderful sight. he wiped the fake tears from his eyes and exclaimed,
"oh my god- im finally getting food."
