Chapter 20 : AM I READY?

I woke up early, like two hours earlier than the usual time I always wake up when I have early morning class. I had the worst dreams ever. I was late to class to take a test, so I was in a hurry that I didn't realize I was wearing a polka dot bra and transparent hot pants to class. I also have a break out face due sleep late everynight because I have a date with Ximen and after that I have to study. The whole class were laughing at me. Then Ximen broke up with me because he said he suddenly realized that he don't really want to be with me and I can't find Lei anywhere, I was crying at the corner of the class, hoping that Lei will come and save me.

Nightmares. That was so scary.

Because of that dreams, the moment I opened my eyes and get myself into the reality, I immediately look at myself in the mirror and glad that I was actually in my bedroom, looking good and wearing my silk pyjama not some ugly polka dot bra with transparent hot pants. That's crazy. If I find polka dot bra anywhere I'm going to burn it.

I also end up standing infront of my wardrobe, looking for the best outfit I'm going to wear today. It's only 5.45 in the morning.I'm pretty sure no one is awake yet. I can't go back to sleep, there is a high chance I will be late to my 8.30 class later.

I check on my phone and see there are 2 messages from Ximen. We were texting one whole day yesterday after I reply his good morning text. Then I fall asleep and left his message asking me what time is my class, unanswered. Maybe he realized that I fall asleep because he sent another text wishing me goodnight after half an hour.

I'm still not sure about this whole situation with him and I don't know if I should ask him about it. He told me that he was drunk but my guts say he was not, especially the way he texted me one whole day yesterday. I might need to face him later, for sure. Maybe I shouldn't do anything and just let him do the work.

So I decided to wear a palazzo jeans with plain white t-shirt, tucked in and pair it with white nike sneakers. I love it that I can take my sweet time to get ready and even side braided my hair. When I go down to get my breakfast, no one is there yet. I'm pretty sure Lei is already awake, he might come down anytime soon, so do my parents.

My dad and stepmom step into the dining room first. After give me a good morning wish and kiss, he starts to read the morning news, as always. The moment when Lei take a seat beside me, I already done with my breakfast.

'You late,' I said.
'Yea, I went to bed quite late last night, finishing my book,'
'Oh. What book? And about what?,' I am just in the mood to start a conversaion.
'Stephen King, and not your type of book, so i rather not telling you the plot because I know you will ask me lots of weird questions and we will end of arguing about the plot,'
'Oh okay. I just want to start a converation. I have a good mood,' I said, a bit disappointed when he said that to me.
'Why is that?' He ask.
'I woke up super early. And i had more than enough time to choose and in the mood for my outfit today and even do my hair,' I said while pointing at my hair. I see Lei's eyes stare at my braided hair.
'Nice. No buns today,'
'Yeap no buns today,'
'So, I'm going to class first. See you later, and see you soon dad,' I said when the clock hits 7.45am.
'Go to school now?' My dad finally has his eyes on me and put down his ipad.
'Yeap. I have class at 8.30,'

He just give me a nod and Lei is still sipping his coffee while waving at me. I kiss my dad, and for a second in an awkward situation whether I should do the same to my stepmom or not, but I decided to just walk out from the dining room as fast as I can.

I arrive at the parking lot 10 minutes before my class start, and there is Ximen waiting for me infront of my locker. He's looking extra good looking today while holding 2 cups, which I assume he is going to give me one of it.
