i slide my phone in my gym bag. deciding to focus on the fact, that i have a game in two weeks. "let's pass?" violet come over to me with a ball in her hand.
"are you going to make us run laps again?"
she turns her head to the floor. "sorry about that aoife."
i hit her shoulder with mine. "let's pass, don't worry about it." her face lights up as she makes her way over to the spot we were at last time.
i struggle with passing today, for some reason. a lot going through my mind. like why is he so mad?
"aoife what's up?"
i turn my attention to violet. "nothing. i'm fine." i walk over to get the ball i miss to hit.
"clearly it's not, nothing. i mean you are failing to hit the ball."
"say that your best friend is mad at you, what do you do?" i blurt out.
"depends on what i did." she sets the ball over to me.
"that's the thing." i hit the ball back over to her. "i don't know what i did."
"so this scenario is about you?"
i sigh in defeat. "yes."
"so you don't know what you did?"
"he didn't tell me, i honestly don't think i did anything."
"what was the last thing you said to him?"
i think to recall the last convo i had with him. "the only thing i can think of is, when i posted on insta. he commented something and i started joking with him."
