"Okay... we're here."

You lift your head up at the blue pearl's soft voice cutting the lengthy silence between you both. She looks over at you, a barely visible smile on her face. "Do try to make yourself comfortable, while I fetch you your new gear." nodded in affirmation and sat yourself down, taking a moment to look around while as the pearl wonders off somewhere.

Everything was... blue.

Blue as far as you can see! Not only that, but there was also quite a bit water surrounding the area, making surprisingly pleasant sloshing noises in the otherwise still air. Even so, it was quite dark, and a slightly somber aura hung in the air. So... must be blue's chambers... you shuddered at a sudden chill that ran up your back and hummed softly in discomfort.

Could use a little light.

Maybe a flower bundle or two...

"Do you like it?"

You were snapped out of your thoughts by a soft voice calling to you. You look around for a brief moment, until your eyes catch the sight of blue pearl approaching you, her hands full of various tools. "My diamond's chambers. isn't it a peaceful place?" She asks, looking up at you with a barely visible yet very serene smile. "So quiet and calm... it's a great place to come and clear your mind... especially if you're dealing with troubling matters." She runs a hand along your fur, as if she were testing its texture. You look back at her, a curious and surprised hum droning from your throat.

While you probably shouldn't be, you were quite astonished, not only by this pearl's lack of hesitance to approach you, but also by the sudden chattiness she was displaying. She didn't generally seem like the kind to speak much, let alone lower her guard around a gem of your condition. Not to mention the fact she really COULDN'T speak with you, lest she wanted get scolded, or somehow "trigger" you, stars forbid.

Isn't... she weary of all that?

"It's okay. It's just you and me in here for now," she suddenly states, reaching up rising onto her tiptoes to fiddle with your collar. "So we can speak freely, until your next assignment." You hear the sound of clicking, followed by the tightness around your neck suddenly disappearing. "There," she mutters, looking down at the collar that was now in her hands. She poked at the studs in the collar as she looked back up at you. "Is that better?" With a huff of relief, you nodded your head, smiling gratefully at the thin gem, which made her smile a bit more visibly. "That's what I thought... the Jasper had it on too tight." She set it aside, turning to retrieve another tool out of your view.

"You must have suffered a great deal of discomfort all the way here..." She murmurs, frowning to herself sympathetically. "...but no one expected someone to be hit with the diamond's light and survive it in stable condition. And homeworld can be very weary of gems of your... condition." She states, her voice softening at the last part as she takes out what looks like a comb. "But I don't see why they should. You seem to be more afraid than anyone here..." You murmured lightly at this, not knowing how to take this modest gem's sudden kindness towards you. "Th-Thank you."

She hums and nods, running a hand along your fur again. Wordlessly, she starts to run the comb through your thick mane with relative ease, ridding it of any tangles or left over forest residue that still resided deep in locks of your fur. She did this all the way to the tip of your tail, making sure to be as gentle as possible. And for once in the span of you being here; you enjoyed a homeworld gem's touch. Someone who was gentle for once...

"...I really like your hair." She holds a strand delicately between two fingers. "It's really soft and smooth." She walks to your front, and gently combs your bangs, being careful to not catch your eyes or scratch your muzzle. You smiled, purring subtly as you let yourself relax a little. "Th-thank you, blue pearl." You replied sheepishly, sitting down. "But... isn't blue pearl scared of (name)?" She shook her head softly, setting the comb aside. "I see no reason to be." She hummed, setting the comb aside, now producing a cloth. She walks to your (color) gemstone which was on your (location). You then felt a cold shiver run through your body, which made you shiver and look back at the pearl with a questioning hum.

"Sorry," she sheepishly whispers. "I'm just shining your gem." She gently runs the dampened cloth over your gemstone again, making you shudder again. "It makes for a good impression to have a well polished gem." There was a pause in her shining as she looked over your gemstone. "...especially when it's a perfectly cut gemstone like this one." She resumes her brief touch-up of your gem, and sets her cloth aside, stopping to observe her handiwork. "...much better." She steps back, and wanders back yet again. "And finally..."

She holds up some type of harness, which was dark blue in color, with lighter blue diamond like clips. "Pardon me." She walks over to you, and, with your assistance and cooperation, slips the harness on as gently as possible, which was a surprisingly comfortable fit, along with two bracelets that clipped over the wrists on your forearms. "There..." she steps back, and observes her handiwork again, wringing her hands softly. "Perfect." She smiles in satisfaction, walking over to you and straightening out your bangs and some stray bits of fur that stuck up. "We don't have outfits exclusively prepared for gems of you shape yet..." She explains, a shy note in her voice. "The pebbles had created this in a post haste. But it still came out rather nice." She smiled, adjusting your new harness to a straighter, more comfortable position. "Hopefully we can produce better gear for you in the future."

There was a peaceful period of silence where blue pearl just made sure that you were completely ready, occasionally running her fingers through your fur to presumably smooth it down. After she made sure, she stopped in front of you. Seeing an opportunity you decided to nuzzle her cheek in gratitude. "Thank you, Blue pearl."

Blue pearl giggles softly, a darker hue of blue faintly dusting her cheeks. "You're very welcome." You smiled and purred giving her a small nudge on the cheek with your muzzle. As the minutes passed, blue pearl started to frown. "Oh... I must take you to jasper for your training."

...and just like that, your mood had crumpled into the ground.

The blue gem frowned remorsefully, but sighed with resolve, hooking the leash onto your harness and giving it a gentle tug. "Come along... wouldn't want to keep her waiting."

Though reluctant, you decided to follow her to make her job easier. And as you did, she turned back to you, offering one last kind smile.

"I do hope we'll be able to talk like this again sometime."

Did I make BP to kind here?

If I did, I'm mildly sorry, but I always thought she'd be the kind of pearl to be the most hospitable and sympathetic.
