*November 2008*
"I have to go Matt!" Maya says annoyed
"What about me? Huh! What about us Maya?" Matt shouts
"Come with me! Your my Mr Loverman remember! If you love me leave Chicago!" Maya says
"You know I can't do that! I love it here! My job is great! I'm a Luitenent now!" Matt says looking down at the ground
"I could become a Luitenent on squad! That's a big deal Matt! I worked so hard to get onto squad! I need to take this job!" Maya says followed by a sigh
"Well if you look at it like that! Then what's the point in us?" Matt says
"What are you saying?" Maya says shocked
"That we should get a divorce!" Matt says before walking out
After a long divorce Maya finally packs up her things and moves to New York. I'll spare you the details of Matt as we all know what happened to him. He met Dawson! Who was perfect for him! Maya on the other hand didn't move on. She didn't quite find her "New Matt" but she didn't care.
*June 2017*
"Hey! How you holding up?" Boden asks
"Gabby left to help people! I couldn't stop her!" Casey says as he smiles
"Good! Kelly officially moves to engine tomorrow!" Boden says enthusiastically
"That's great! Have you found a replacement yet?" Casey asks
"We have! She starts tomorrow!" Boden says before he walks out
"She? There's not many squad Luitenents who are girls" Casey says to himself
Casey then walks into the common room and sits down next to Herrmann
"How are you feeling about a new Luitenent?" Herman asks
"I hope she is as good as Kelly!" Cruz says
"Oh haven't you heard? Your getting a captain! She's managing all of the squads in Chicago!" Mouch says
"So squads 1-5?" Capp asks
"Yep! She's apparently really good! Although I haven't quite found out her name yet?" Mouch says
"She must be good if she's a captain! God Casey isn't even a captain yet!" Herrmann says as he walks out
It's the next day and 51 have just finished up with breakfast when this beautiful woman appears at the door. Casey hasn't noticed her yet
"Hey everyone! I'm Captain Maya Avery! The new captain on squad 3?" Maya says smiling
"Welcome!" Boden says walking up to her as Casey turns around in disbelief
"Matthew Casey! Your still on truck!" Maya says smiling
"You too know each other?" Cruz asks
"She's Umm my ex wife..." Casey says looking at the ground
