It's a month and a bit later and Maya has decided to go back to work
"Are you sure your moms okay with watching him?" Maya asks
"She's in town for 3 whole months and she loves babies so I'm sure!" Kelly says smiling
"Thank you Kelly! Your a lifesaver!" Maya says smiling
"Yeah we would have been really stuck without her! Make sure you thank her for us!" Casey says
"I will!" Kelly says as the door goes
Kelly opens it to see his mom standing
"Mom!" Kelly says as he hugs her
"Where's little Noah?" Jenifer asks
"He's right here and ready for you!" Maya says smiling
"Aww my goodness! Isn't he the cutest!?" Jenifer says smiling
"Everything you need is in the kitchen and call if you need anything!" Maya says
"I will and he is in safe hands with me!" Jenifer says
"Are you sure? Do you know how much milk to give him? And when to change him? And his nap times?" Maya says panicking
"I do Maya! I raised that one over there and he turned out just fine!" Jenifer says looking at Kelly
"I could beg to differ!" Casey whispers before Kelly hits him
"Now come on Maya! We're gonna be late!" Kelly says before they all walk out
They are halfway to the firehouse
"Are you sure he's gonna be okay! Maybe I need more time off?" Maya says
"He will be fine honey!" Casey says smiling
"It's just I've never left him before! What if he forgets who I am? I'll be gone for a whole 24 hours! That's like a lifetime in baby years!" Maya says as she looks at her phone
"Put it down!" Kelly says taking Mayas phone
"Hey!" Maya says trying to grab it back
"Noah is in safe hands! Now get ready for your day chief!" Kelly says as they pull up to the firehouse
Maya walks into her office
"Did no one clean up my waters off the floor?" Maya asks
"Shoot! Knew there was something I had to do!" Kelly says
"Kelly Severide! Get your ass in here!" Maya shouts
"Yes?" Kelly asks trying not to act suspicious
"What was plan A?" Maya asks
"Clean up your waters?" Kelly replies
"Great! And what happened if plan A failed?" Maya asks looking at the pool on the floor
"You would brutally murder me in my sleep if I recall correctly!" Kelly says starting to get worried for his life
"1. Get this cleaned up! 2. Sleep with one eye open!" Maya says before walking out
