"It's my first week on the job and I've messed it up already!" Maya shouts frustrated
"Okay! Slow down! What happened?" Casey says as he turns around in his chair
"I got called over to 98 by the squad Luitenent! He was in New York at the same time as me! He asked me to transfer someone over there! And I said you've gotta check with New York's battalion chief first! But he didn't and now I'm getting threatening phone calls!" Maya says in a panic
"Okay! We're gonna fix this! Grissom wouldn't believe him over you I-" Casey says before they hear a loud shout coming from the app floor
"Avery! Get your ass out here!" Grissom shouts
"Maybe not!" Maya says genuinely worried for her safety
Maya walks out and greets Grissom
"Well there's my favourite white shirt! How are we doing today Grissom?" Maya asks smiling
"Cut the small talk! Why have I just had a phone call from chief thatcher stating that your trying to steal a firefighter from his squad!?" Grissom shouts
"Well you see it's ironic really! Luitenent Clarke asked me if he could be transferred here and I said to check with chief thatcher! But obviously he didn't and has put through the paperwork!" Maya says
"This doesn't look good on you Avery! First week on the job after taking over a month off? You've been warned multiple times yet your still raising my blood pressure one by one! You better get your act together!" Grissom shouts before heading out
Casey puts a reassuring hand on Mayas shoulder but Maya shakes it off and walks back in. She sits down at her desk and dials chief thatchers number
"Hello?" Thatcher says
"I'm not stealing your best firefighter! And telling on me to the commissioner? That's real mature! I'll handle Chicago and you handle New York! I didn't ask you to sign that paperwork and neither did Clarke! Now just do us all a favour just shut up and quit being a grass!" Maya shouts before ending the call
"So I'm guessing some of the hormones are still here?" Kelly asks smiling
"Ugh! I wish!" Maya says dropping her head into her hands
"Well I'm gonna put the bets on you! You know when you fight him!" Kelly says as he laughs
"Don't say that!" Maya says as she laughs
"Squad 3, Truck 81, Engine 51, Battalion 25, Ambulance 61, Hotel fire, Rose house hotel" The intercom says
They then all run out...
