It's the next morning and Maya needs to get up for shift so Casey takes matters into his own hands
"Maya?" Casey says softly
But Maya doesn't budge
"Maya!" Casey shouts
Again Maya doesn't move
Casey gets up and grabs a glass of cold water
"Don't make me do it!" Casey says getting the water ready
"I'm comfortable!" Maya says
"Fine!" Casey says as he tips the water over Mayas head
"Woah!" Maya shouts as the cold water hits her
Casey gets prepared to run
"Matthew Casey! I'm gonna murder you!" Maya shouts wiping the water from her face
"We need to get to shift! You left me no choice!" Casey say holding up the glass to protect himself from Maya
"What's the glass gonna do?!" Maya says getting out of bed
"I'm hoping it has magical powers! I know it's gonna do nothing!" Casey shouts
"Okay! Let's keep the voices down" Maya says rubbing her forehead
"Is someone hungover?" Casey asks laughing
"I told you I don't get hungover! It's just a headache!" Maya says grabbing her clothes
"Uh huh!" Casey says as he smirks
"Shut up!" Maya shouts as she walks out
Maya quickly gets changed and puts her hair into french braids
"You ready?!" Casey calls out
"Almost!" Maya shouts back
"Hurry up! We're gonna be late!" Casey shouts as he puts his lid on his coffee cup
"That coffee better be for me!" Maya shouts as she opens the door
Casey holds the coffee in his hand and walks over to Maya
"Thank you!" Maya says taking his coffee
They walk out and drive to the firehouse. When they walk in Cruz is making breakfast and Maya collapses onto the couch
"Rough night?" Cruz asks
"Don't ask!" Maya says covering her eyes
"Okay...Well breakfast is ready!" Cruz shouts
"Shhhh!" Maya says angrily
They all run up and grab some breakfast but Maya doesn't move
"Not hungry my dear?" Casey says laughing
"I feel like I could throw up at any second so I would stay within a 6 meter radius of me today!" Maya says as everyone laughs
"Hey Captain! There's someone on the app floor for you!" Capp says
"Coming!" Maya says standing up
When she walks out she spots commissioner Grissom standing
"Commissioner! What do I owe the pleasure?" Maya says smiling
"I just wanted to let you know that I signed you up to take the chiefs test in 3 months!" Grissom says enthusiastically
"Really!?" Maya asks shocked
"I think you would make an excellent Chief one day! Congratulations Maya!" Grissom says before walking away
"I guess I'm taking the chiefs test!" Maya says to herself enthusiastically
