-ABRAXAS, SURPRISINGLY, WAS EASY TO TALK TO. He knew how to keep a conversation going and kept shooting small smiles at her.

He winced as Seraphina smacked the back of his head lightly with rolled up parchment.

"Get away from those crushed entrails! How did you even get those? They are highly explosive!"

"OW! Don't hurt me! They were just there. I thought you wanted me to put them in the potion."

"Why would I- Nevermind, just get away from them."

Abraxas hastily dumped the entrails in a bin and kept stirring his potion with a pout.

"Seraphina, there's a new quest. Do not panic."

Chad's voice brought her out of her happy bubble as she stole a panicked glance at the swirly purple orb that was her guide.

She contemplated leaving the class, after all, her potion was finished.

But she didn't want her time with Abraxas to end, so she simply took a subtle step backwards from him and whispered in a clear voice.

"Notifications."
