Proverbs 22:24-25 (NLT)
[24] Keep away from angry, short-tempered people, [25] or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul.
We can never talk enough about controlling that temper, but in this proverb is another lesson and that is one of associations. The warning is that, who and what you hang around is what you become. The fruit, the results, the responses that you are getting are largely due to the people you are engaging. This is not only friends, this includes people with whom you may struggle. Anyone that you constantly rub against is rubbing off on you! You are possibly taking on some attributes from them. It is so important to stay in communion the Holy Spirit. 1. Pray often remain Christ centered. 2. When God moves you move! (just like that). 3. Monitor the spirit that you give off to others. 4. Ask and be willing to hear another's assessment of you.
