Proverbs 28:9 (NLT)
[9] The prayers of a person who ignores the law are despised.
Prayer is wonderful and beneficial. The bible identifies it as a mandate for the believer. However, prayer is to grounded in the word of God. As you grow in the Lord, your prayers should mature as one who knows the Lord. The law should be obeyed as long as it does not violate God's supreme Law. So to disobey the law and then try to pray for God's blessing is foolish, this includes: lottery numbers, speeding, not studying, sex, poor preparation and the like. It just won't work.
1. Pray continually. 2. Obey God. 3. Practice praying God's will.
