You have your soulmate's age when you will meet them

Since I was eighteen I have always known that I would probably die when I met my soulmate. Mostly because on my arm was the number 94.

It wasn't long after that an accident gave me powers and I joined the avengers.

"Hey, (Y/n)! Did you hear? It's Cap's birthday today." Nat said as she walked up to me.

"I'll have to get him something." I said softly.

"Dare you to get him underwear with the American flag on it." She said playfully.

"You know I will." I said with a wink.

I had a playful relationship with Steve. Having met him a year ago, I had become fast friends with him.

It didn't take me long to find Steve a gift and after I was finished I made my way back.

"Where did you go?" A voice asked.

I turned around and smiled as I saw Steve leaning against the doorway.

"Had to pick up a gift, for some old guy." I said playfully.

"Hilarious." He said with a frown.

"How old are you now? 200? 3?" I asked playfully.

"95 biologically, about 28 physically." He said with a laugh.

"95?" I asked with a frown.

"Yep."

"So... you would of been 94 when we met?" I asked softly.

"That's right."

"Cool, cool.... I'm gonna go see Nat." I said as I pushed past him.

As soon as I saw Nat I grabbed her arm had dragged her into a closet.

"What's up?" She asked calmly.

"Do you know what Steve's soulmates age is?" I asked quickly.

"I think 21."

"Are you positive?" I asked calmly.

"Yep."

"Nat.... I was 21 when I met him." I said softly.

"Okay?"

"He was 94."

"And... oh my god he is your soulmate!" She exclaimed.

I covered her mouth and she looked at me shocked.

"Shh! I'm not a hundred percent sure... I mean it could of been Peggy-"

"Ask him."

"No! Not happening." I said calmly.

"I will then." She said as she left the closet.

"Nat-"

I was cut off by us making it to the living room.

"Hey Birthday boy! Got a question for you." Nat said as she walked up to him.

I quickly walked to the bar and got a drink.

"What's up?"

"So have you found your soulmate yet?" Nat asked calmly.

"Oh, um... actually I haven't." He said calmly.

"Really? And what's your number?"

"21." He said calmly.
