They say live in the moment but this moment ain't good

Dreams of the future are the only thing that keep you alive in the hood

And I ain't in the hood, more like a hoodie

Just bend your head down and study

While the world outside goes all topsy turvy

Nothing says the future will be better than the present

But the present isn't a present, more like something I resent

Been so long meeting anyone, don't remember the scents

Don't remember their voice, don't remember their face

Never felt anyone, so don't know how it feels

Life is so evil, it takes and it steals

Peace of mind I only get in my sleep

I search for something, I don't know what

If only I could find someone like me, that seems a good start.
