Flamm was frozen still with her jaw on the floor.
Milkit was nervous, looking at the suspicious person and her master back and forth.
Then Eterna herself stood up and approached Flamm, touched her cheek and brought her face to a point-blank range.

Eterna: “What…is this?”

Eterna gazes at the slave mark engraved on Flamm’s cheek.
The Flamm in her memories shouldn’t have this sort of thing.

Eterna: “It’s also weird that Flamm who was supposed to be back in her hometown is here…but this is a lot weirder. What is this?”

Her words sound like they were filled with a certain degree of anger.
That anger wasn’t directed at Flamm, but Eterna’s cold, sharp glare was enough to curl her stomach.
She initially thought of asking Why are you here, Eterna-san? but it doesn’t seem like it’s the time to do just that.

Eterna: “Who did this to you? Why did you become like this?”
Flamm: “Shouldn’t you…no, shouldn’t everyone in the party know already?”
Eterna: “About what?”
Flamm: “About…how I was too useless and that’s why Jean-san sold me…into slavery.”

As Flamm said that, Eterna was silenced, but right after that, her shoulders dropped and she heaved a huge sigh.

Eterna: “That fucking virgin stumpy sorcerer who only got pride to him did…?!”

Verbal abuses Flamm couldn’t get used to hearing flows out of the lady’s mouth.
Leaving the fact if he’s a virgin or not aside, she could somewhat figure out who she’s talking about.

Flamm: “Did you not know about that?”
Eterna: “How are we supposed to know? If we did, we would’ve stopped that bastard.”

To Eterna’s declaration—Flamm felt the darkness that she had always contained within her heart is slowly dissipating.
Perhaps one could say that her words had “saved” her as her heart grows lighter.

Eterna: “Gadio was disappointed, and Cyril was so depressed that she couldn’t give her all into battle.”
Flamm: “Even Gadio-san and Cyril-chan…”

Aside from Gadio who has been taking care of her, even Cyril who she thought hated her got so depressed.
Even then, the fact that she was useless didn’t change.
That wasn’t the case anymore—but she understood that she hasn’t completely lost the place she belongs.
It’s not that there was a change in the sudden and dramatic emotions such as sadness and happiness.
Yet without her knowledge, a teardrop flowed down her cheek.
As she touched her cheek, she noticed the tears that she herself shed and laughed.

Eterna: “I’m sorry, Flamm. I should’ve doubted Jean when he said you went back to your hometown. It must’ve been hard for you during your days as a slave.”

Eterna, who was usually selfish and does things at her own pace, showed an unusually dark, apologetic face.
As a follow-up to her apology, Flamm pulled Milkit by the hand and brought the girl next to her.

Flamm: “Thanks to that, I managed to meet Milkit, so it’s not all that bad.”

Deep down, Milkit was relieved.
It was precisely because the two had no place to return to that they could carry on together.
If Flamm had a place in the Hero party to return to, then the place she belonged would disappear.
However, she realized once again that Ah, so my master is this sort of person after all.
There would be no way for Flamm to throw her away—that sort of confidence was then born from within Milkit.

Eterna: “That child’s face…is it Mustard Poisoning?”
Flamm: “You’re good, Eterna-san. You noticed it even as it was covered by bandages.”
Eterna: “It’s a poisoning that’s easy to identify after all. But what an awful hobby, to poison her with something that can only be healed by medicines…”
Flamm: “Oh, right! I wanted to ask Eterna-san for help about that. I’ll take the necessary stuff from the first floor, okay!”
