Just then, a hand pulled over to my side, blocking me from going forward. I looked at the side i had shamelessly escaped, only to find Allendis' face extremely close to mine,

"Can I receive something in return?"

his face inching closer to mine, second by second

"What do you think you're doing?"

suddenly the air around me softened, allowing me to breathe comfily as Allendis had freed me,

"There's no need too worry, it was just a joke" 

I don't understand how he can say that with a straight face, but maybe it was just a joke and i'm being paranoid

"aren't you supposed to leave"

"well Estelle was accompanying me back"

"no need i will send a maid for that"

"i,it's fine brother Eldy! i can walk him to his carriage"

when we stepped in front of the carriage, Allendis took one foot onto the stair

after that, what we would call 'drama' I went straight to my room and sat on my dressing chair, taking a careful look to the beautiful lady in-front of me,

the steps taken were slow and steady, as if careful not to wake a sleeping child, the hallways were big and empty, bright and void as I watched the big large golden door in-front of me,

My hands debated on whether to or not knock, but nevertheless I opened without content 'he said it was okay to come when i pleased right?'

But to my surprise, the room was empty 'strange i thought he'd be busy with work all day' and then 'did he leave due to an emergency?'

Taking slight steps towards his office table, i remarked how it was neatly arranged with only a cupboard mid-closed

when I unconsciously tried to close it, it was stuck and I pulled it back

a paper flew from the cupboard in mid air until it landed on the ground,

I reached for it but then I stopped, to my surprise 'this is not father's writing', closely examining the piece of paper, I saw yet a neat handwriting, the paper was wet but i could see the lines going up and down as if it had been written in a hurry

The rest of the paper was slightly ripped preventing me from reading the rest of the message as my insides grew with anxiety, pain, suffering and what not,  betrayal? again 

I feel like I was betrayed...was eliminating the butler not enough? will I ever know who my friends and foes are?
