Anneliss contemplated the first move on Eldred, which he gladly accepted since they're gonna get married anyway,

On the other hand, Enrad had refused to leave my side,

"Don't you want to have fun with friends brother?"

"No. I want to stay with you," 

Then at least if you want to stand beside me try not to glare at everyone who's trying to talk to me,

"Elly, I have been wondering, do you like Lady Augustus?"

The question had me surprised, "Yes, why you ask?"

"You shouldn't get too close to someone you just met a few weeks ago,"

It would seem weird to everyone that I suddenly got close to someone out of the blue, but she's not just someone, she's my best friend,

At the thought, I was urged to scan the room, looking at where Liss and Eldred were dancing happily together, 

They look good together,

"Elly, I have a confession to make,"

I turned to Enrad, "what is it?"

"I don't like her,"

I kept quiet for a second, looking at his side profile closely, trying to look for any proof that he was lying in the eyes he kept focused on the crowd, but I knew that voice that he'd use when he was genuinely concerned for me, 

"I'm sure you'll like her when you get to know her," I smiled, lessening the tension between us, "she's a nice person," I concluded,

"Lady Estelle,"

A charming voice, tender yet cold, 

"Duchess Erina, a pleasure to meet you," I bowed,

"Pleasure to meet you, Duchess," Enrad bowed, 

"So this is her? I don't believe we've met yet, I am Kaysian De Rass, you can call me Kaysian"

I looked at the duchess's right, he looks a lot like his father,

"Pleasure to meet you, sir Kaysian," i said,

I looked at Carsein who had kept quiet all the time, he looked uncomfortable, maybe he got scolded, 

"Ah! now that I think about it, you've already met Carsein before, I hope he wasn't much to deal with," said Kaysian,

"Not really," 'Because he kept avoiding me,'

"Well, then I was hoping you'd take an eye on him while I and mother are absent for a while If it's okay with you" Carsein seemed to flinch at kaysian's request, 

"I don't mind" I smiled genuinely, 

And that's how we ended up being just the three of us,

In the corner of the halls, 

In a very awkward silence,

They're the same age so why aren't they saying anything to each other, Is it because I'm here?

At the time I was taken in my own thoughts, a voice rang out, someone I hadn't expected to see today, 

"May I have this dance?"

Why in the world, Is Jieun asking Enrad to dance?!

I feel, weird

I don't like seeing Enrad dance with her, 

"Hey, are you okay? you look-"

"Yeah, I'm fine,"

Can't she ask that to Ruveliss, since she's sooo in love with him,

"you sure cause you don-"

"Carsein, you can dance right?"

"ye-"

without further inquiry, I pulled his arm and stomped towards the crowd, 

"let's dance" 

"Hey! you're always scolding me about etiquette but you can't properly ask for a dance?!"

"ugh, keep it down!" I whisper yelled, pulling him closer so he could hold me, 

"Is something wrong? you're red," why is he embarrassed? this is enough distance but he's being cute over this?

"No, I'm not!"

he stared for a minute, and finally, we danced, he's good but I doubt he took classes without his mother scolding him every time he made a mistake,

I giggled at the thought, which took Carsein by surprise, 

"What is something funny?"

"Just a thought but you're dancing skills are remarkable,"

I looked around my surroundings, trying to find Enard and his "partner", but I couldn't spot him, 

I sighed, 

"Are you tired? You should get some rest," he said,

"No, I'm fine,"

The dance ended and I sat on a chair aside the desert area,  

"Cake?"

I looked up at the person who had offered a sweet cube of delicacy at me, 

"Anneliss, where's Eldred?" I asked,

"He had something to do so he left," she answered,

"I see," 'he does have a packed up schedule',

"I saw you dancing with knight boy,"

"so?"

"Do you like him?"

I choked on air, "W-What? why do you ask?"

"eh? what's with the reaction? I was just asking," she swayed her eyebrows playfully,

"Do you like teasing me that much?" 

I took the fork and stabbed the soft cube, gently munching on the soft cream,

And suddenly, 

*clash!*

The plate I was holding fell, 

Not because I was careless, 

But because of a certain someone, 

"Oh my, forgive my cloddish behavior, lady Estelle,"

Everyone's gaze was now on me,

'what does she want now?'
